Answer:	The Midland ER 210 is not waterproof.
Question:	Does the replaceable 18650 battery have tabs? Is there any reason it could not be replaced with a 3400 mAh
Answer:	I bought the "first-generation" of the ER310 radio in March 2018; from this same page on Amazon. The battery died recently. The battery for my radio has a "pigtail" connector on the end, not a standard battery connector. The battery has been discontinued. The Midland website gives a phone number to call if you need the pigtail battery. When I called they said the battery was discontinued, and they would sell me a newer model of the radio, that doesn't require the discontinued battery, for the price of the old battery, which was $25. So I just ordered that. There's now a second-generation version of the ER-310 radio that doesn't use the "pigtail" battery. I can't tell from the photos on the Amazon page if the radio sold on this page is the "first-generation" or "second-generation" one. I would think it's probably the second generation; if it's the first-generation, I wouldn't buy it.

Answer:	Hello Brandi, the ER210 does is not programmed for S.A.M.E codes. It has 7 NOAA/NWS weather channels to choose from. • Press the BAND button to select the weather band. • Then use the TUNE buttons to select the strongest weather channel in your area. Typical broadcasts are within reception distance of 25-50 miles of the weather station. Fully extend the telescopic antenna and rotate until reception is clear. The ER210 can receive broadcasts up to 50 miles from the weather station depending on your location and conditions of weather, terrain, etc. If reception is not good, try a different location to find a spot of improved reception. If indoors, placement near a window usually improves reception. If a weather broadcast cannot be heard on any of the 7 channels, contact your local NOAA/NWS office and verify the closest station is on air. Their web site is http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/

Answer:	We are a pretty active family so we toss it back and forth for shoulder exercise..trying to avoid the face! We also play solo throwing it in the air and catching it (I'm aware families with small kids couldn't/shouldn't) my boys are 14 & 11 and very strong.
Question:	Will this work with my older handset model M538-HT
Answer:	Just attach the nozzle to a hose and put the needle nose into ball like your blowing up a basketball or football. Can't really overfill it. Mine deflated to the right pressure on its own after use.
Question:	My transmitter is shot will this unit work with existing WR-3000 bases that I have
Answer:	I can’t tell you for sure, but when I got it it appeared to be a flat, thick rubber walled, ball. I used the attachment that came with it to fill with water and it was ready. I left it floating in my pool most of the summe with full sun and it didn’t seem to weather much. The Chlorine kinda bleached it a bit but I’ve never come across anything that chlorine doesn’t bleach
Question:	Do I have to use the Dakota brand of murs radio or can I use other brands of murs radios to receive the signal
Answer:	Yes! I got it for my sons 3rd birthday in September. He jumps on it, wrestles with it, and plays with the dog with it. It’s really good material!

MURS Alert Probe Sensor

The MURS Alert Probe Sensor is a long-range wireless driveway alarm that will detect vehicles only. It combines the features of the vehicle sensor drive alert with our MURS Alert technology. The MURS Probe is very reliable and will not give false signals from large animals or other sources. When it detects a vehicle, it will send an alert signal to either the M538-BS or M538-HTtransceivers.

Chime Module for MURS

The MURS Chime is an auxiliary chime that can be connected to the NO relay output on the M538-BS transceiver. It will play one of three tunes ("Westminster Chime", "London Bridge" or "Oh, My Darling") when the base station receives a signal from one of our MURS transmitters. The chime has a volume control and operates on two AA alkaline batteries.

2-Way Base Station

The M538-BS is a base station MURS transceiver that will receive alert signals from the MURS Alert transmitter and also can be used for two-way voice communications between other MURS transceivers. The M538-BS has five channels and 38 sub channels to help you communicate with other users. It is powered by a plug-in transformer and capable of communicating over distances of several miles, depending on local terrain.

2-Way MURS Hand Held

The M538-HT is a hand-held MURS transceiver that will receive alert signals from the MURS Alert transmitter and also can be used for two-way voice communications between other MURS transceivers.The HT has five channels and 38 sub channels to help you communicate with other users. When an alert signal is received from the MURS Alert transmitter, the HT will sound off with the voice alert signal, and will display an alert icon as a visual cue that an alert signal has been received. This has many different applications for small businesses, farmers, security guards or outdoorsmen.

Answer:	The optional AA batteries are in addition to the included rechargeable battery. Power selector switch on front allows separate choice of "Batt" (i.e. AA cells), or "Crank/Solar" (which are the two ways of charging up the rechargeable battery). So, if you select "Crank/Solar" the radio is actually running off the rechargeable battery, and attempting to use either the solar cells or the hand crank to keep it charged.
Question:	If the internal rechargeable batteries are dead and there are no back-up batteries installed will the radio work on solar power only

Answer:	It has a switch on it for NOAA weather alerts. The 4-way power is this: it has a handle you can turn to charge it, that's 1; it has a solar panel for charging, that's 2; it has a lithium ion (or something) battery that you can plug into the wall to charge, that's 3; and you can also put 3 AA batteries in it to power it, that's 4. 4-ways to charge it. I liked this radio, but wish I had bought the digital one for a few bucks more.

Answer:	Michael, I mostly listen to FM. I have the radio under a florescent light and the AM has a backround hum for me. I would ask someone who primarily listens to AM about it. I love the FM. Reception clear with many stations. I use it every day.
