Answer:	As I have tested it, the max range in an unobstructed straight line is one-tenth (1/10) of a mile (528 feet). I put my phone on a stand six feet high off the ground. Holding the JBL Clip 3 speaker above my head, I walked in a straight line away from the phone. (Samsung Galaxy S4). No joke. Seriously, I truly got it that far! And BTW, I highly recommend it! I've had mine for 5 months so far and I use it almost every day. It still functions just like the day I pulled it out of the box. GREAT sound quality for the price. It also has a super long battery life; I am able to play mine for a whole day (12 hours) on 70% volume! Hope that helps :)

Answer:	If you already own the original then the upgrade is not worth it. Unless you got the first run of it when it can out then an update/upgrade can be worth it or you got dollars to spend. Because overall the improvements are minimal. Hook design change, Slight improved speakers, and a few other little quirks. So stick with the original if you just recently bought it within the last year. But if you debating about paying less for the original over the Extreme 2 then get the Extreme 2. New software and better overall. The dollar difference wouldn't out weigh it in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Answer:	As far as I can tell, you can't. I hit all of the buttons on the speaker but it did not skip the song. I have found that I can only skip a song on the device used (I-phone)
