Answer:	if your question about DATA, then there are both a wired (Ethernet) and wireless version, which is not wifi but cellular (included in the price, so you don't need to pay extrq zvery month). However, for POWER, this has to be hardwired. Unlike Ring consumer products it does not have a version with a rechargeable battery.

Answer:	My electrician installed it. He said it was straight-forward. However, the setup was done over the phone with Amazon. A bit tricky, but we got it working. Has worked great for well over a year!

Answer:	The ceiling? I don't think it will hold long on a horizontal ceiling as it is heavier than the 2nd gen Dot. Maybe if you use an additional adhesive to prevent the weight from letting it fall? But any vertical wall will be better! It can hear you very well even if its in a random corner

Question:	How many feet from you should Alexa be installed
Answer:	If you are going to listen to music, I have it about 10 feet away. Alexa has a great sound! Other than that, I don’t think it matters. When I first got it I had it sitting on the table across from me. I live in a trailer, so it’s never too far away.
Question:	Will the 3M strips hold the dot on standard subway tiles in bathroom
Answer:	I tried to use the 3M strips on drywall in my bathroom (followed all necessary steps), and my dot fell down in less than a day. I can't speak for subway tiles, but I would think the result will be similar. I switched to the anchors and screws and it has stayed in place ever since.
Question:	Does it work with 2nd generation Echo Dot
Answer:	I would say “no”. The proportions of the 2nd & 3rd generation are different. The 3rd generation has curved sides whereas the sides on the 2nd generation are flat.
Question:	Why not just use 3M tape and skip the mount
Answer:	While they both would hold the echo dot to the wall the one is done with screws which would leave two tiny holes, the other might peel off the paint, if you ever moved it. Also with the mount you can remove the echo Dot and move it to another room. Set it on the table, Take It Outside, take it to a friend's. Later you could just put it back in the mount.

Answer:	The 110 cord is what comes with the unit.so it has to stay plugged in to work.with the battery pack on it.the 110 cord hooks into the battery base and battery hooks into unit.at time you may want to take it to another room or the patio So you just unhook the 110 from battery base an you can take it wireless to anywhere you wifi signal can be picked up.when I cook out in the yard I take it outside for music without having to run an extention cord.

Answer:	This is not made by amazon. This is made by someone’s else so they don’t necessarily make them in colors that match each echo. I think they only make it in black. they should make it in other colors.

You can even set alarms and tell her what song you want to wake too if she has access
