But for home use even to the most hearing impaired user Most folks will not use more than 20 / 30 working watts of power though the speakers are rated for 200 watts that just means that that is the peak excursion they should be able to tolerate without a failure. What is your amp rated at How many watts?? Knowing this how hard do you run it at?? a 200 watt amp run at half volume should deliver approximately 100 watts output power. I have 250 watt speakers and a 60 watt amp and can barely tolerate them run to 50 % past that I risk hearing damage and a visit by the local constabularyMy speakers are really efficient. I am a believer that its not the power but the efficiency that rules. I do professional Sound reinforcement and rarely need to use more than 200 watts to the mids and that's to rock a crowd into the couple hundred. If you are truly using more than this consider building a more efficient system. My use of the volume control is to trim outdoor speakers rated at 50 w from an amp that outputs 25 watts |

| Answer: | Hi sounds like you dont want to see the tranformer , with cable running down the wall. What I did with mine if you know about wiring electrical and things like that I cut the wire from my Transformer to the unit and I made it longer and I run a wire up into my attic where I have a light switch with a plug .plugged in the transformer ,made the wire longer so now it's a hard wire unit basically that's what it looks like because all you see is just the unit in the wall with the faceplate no wire sticking out of it and that's how I did mine don't know if you have access to your attic and if you have a light up there with an outlet but that will be the best way to have a clean job for it, hope this will help a bit, also to your question, this unit comes with a 120v to 12 volt dc converter |

| Answer: | I assume you are referring to the bluetooth name. I have 6 units, they all use the same name, but that isn't a problem, because they don't advertise unless you push the volume knob. After you pair each one, rename it on your phone, no need to rename on the receiver, the phone can tell them apart. So if you have previously paired to a phone, when you turn the unit on it will try to reconnect to its existing paired device. If you want to pair to a new device, press the volume knob while you are scanning for devices from your phone, then rename it in bluetooth settings on your phone after it is paired. The only time you are going to have an issue is if you press the volume knob on 2 devices at the same time, you wont know which is which, but since you probably cant be in 2 rooms at once to do that, shouldn't ever be an issue, and whichever one it pairs to, you can rename to distinguish which is which.. |

Description of VOL7035: The VOL7035 by Rockville is a 70 volt 35 watt wall volume controller. Our volume controllers are some of the best on the market. These are for constant voltage systems such as 70 volt or 100 volt. The reliability and accuracy is what makes a big difference. Our 11 step controller is precise and accurate. This model supports any zone with 35 watts or less going to it. The euro-block connectors make installation easily. The terminals are fully detachable. Internally the circuit board is protected from dust build up to ensure long life. If you have a 70 volt amplifier that is one zone only you can use these to split that amp into multiple zones. | Answer: | It's possible, yes. To clarify what Sean said, it controls 2 audio channels, which is two pairs of wire, not two pairs of speakers. Will it work? It can, yes. It's about resistance (ohms). If your amp expects a 4-16 ohm resistance load, then 2 4-ohm speakers connected in series would make 8 ohms. This works. 2 16-ohm speakers (do they make them?) connected in parallel would make 8 ohms. This works, too. If you twist together, like Sean said, you reduce the channel's resistance load to 4 ohms. If your amp is ok with this, go ahead. Some amps/receivers have load-selector switches on the back. Check yours. This should all be on the unit, somewhere. Both the above concepts together?: Take 2 pairs of 8-ohm speakers. Connect each pair in series. Take the two ends of each speaker-series and twist the positives together and connect to the amp. Then the negatives. The series gives you 8 ohms plus 8 ohms = 16 ohms, but connecting both series together in parallel brings it all back to 8 ohms. 4 speakers on one channel, at 8 ohms - as long as your amp has the power to push them all. Series: AMP+ TO speaker1+ >> speaker1- TO speaker2+ >> speaker2- TO amp- (doubles resistance) Parallel: Amp+ TO speaker1+ AND speaker2+ >> speaker1- AND speaker2- TO Amp- (halves resistance) Does that help?
