Question: | What is the size of the case on this? I see it listed differently between a few websites and want to be sure before pulling the trigger |
Answer: | 40mm case and 20mm band. |
Question: | I am between this and 8926ob pro diver stainless steel. does this model stay wound and can i wear in shower without an issue? thank you |
Answer: | Yes. It’s an automatic watch. It winds constantly as you wear it. After 24 hours of not wearing it stops. Needs no batteries. It’s my favorite watch. I think it’s waterproof for 300 meters, so no problem in the shower. |
Question: | Does it has "Japan Movt." sign in 6 o'clock and has yellow rotor |
Answer: | It has Japan Movt. at 6 o'clock, but no yellow rotor. Stainless steel case and rotor. |

With a bold design, this Invicta chronograph has a poised and calm ambience that’s sure to have you looking twice.
Classic styling and high performance add up to an outstanding sport watch for your land or sea adventures. This automatic watch, from Invicta's Pro Diver series, places a large round stainless steel case on a robust triple link steel bracelet. The black dial is designed for quick and easy read-off, even in low light conditions. It offers three-hand function with Tritnite-coated luminous hands and hour markers and a magnified date display at the three o'clock mark. The dial is capped with a resilient mineral crystal and framed by a black unidirectional rotating steel bezel with coin edge detailing. This watch is driven by Japanese automatic movement, which is visible through the see-through skeleton case back. It is rated water resistant to a full 660 feet (200 meters).
Automatic Watches
Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. When this type of watch is removed from your wrist, the movement winds down in 10 to 72 hours, depending on the size of its winding reserve Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.
Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).
Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there a self help on removing two or three links? I have the tools |
Answer: | Search "Invicta Link Removal" on You Tube. There are many videos, some are better than others. Pay attention to the direction of the arrows on the bracelet links. |
Question: | What is the difference between invicta 8926ob pro diver and invicta 17044 pro diver, the second is cheaper, what are other differences |
Answer: | They are pretty much the same watch and both have an Automatic Seiko movement (NH35A). The only difference I have found is the 8926OB face is more similar to the Rolex Submariner, with tabs instead of dots at the 3, 6 and 9 positions. Also, the loupe over the date window is slightly more powerful on the 8926OB, making it easier to read the date. I have both watches and prefer the 8926OB! |
Question: | Can enough links be removed to accommodate a 6.5" (approx.) wrist |
Answer: | Yes. I have a 6.25" wrist, and had to remove all but one link. So for a 6.5" wrist, removing all but 2 should be fine. The respondent above who said the links are graduated in size is mistaken. All the _removable_ links are the same size. |
Question: | What is the difference between 8926OB and 17044 ? Which is the better one |
Answer: | The 8926OB has straight indicese at 6 and 9 while the 17044 has round ones. The band width on the 8926 is 20mm while 18mm on the 17044. The case thickness on the 8926 is 11mm while 14mm on the 17044.17044 is a newer model (jan 2014) and the 8926OB is 2006 (with a new version in 2011). Also, the 17044 lists a "stopwatch" as a special feature. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How is this any different than the "invicta 24946 men's pro diver blue dial stainless steel bracelet quartz dive watch |
Answer: | The 24946 is quartz, and battery powered. The 5053 is automatic, the NH35 Seiko made movement is wound by your arm motion throughout the day, or can be hand wound. Dimensions appear to be the same (I don’t have a 24946 to compare, just the published specs) at 40mm diameter bezel and 12mm thick. The only other obvious difference is the bezel knurling, with the 25946 having the typical “coin-edge” style and the 5053 having a more elegant “scalloped” appearance. |
Question: | What happens if you don't wear the watch every day |
Answer: | Ciao from Italy, if you take it off for example at night, start losing at least mine seconds. if you don't wear it for a whole day the seconds / minutes increase. If you don't wear it for a couple of days it stops completely. mine still loses a minute and a half a week. it is always advisable to wind manually between 20 and 40 turns of the crown. |
Question: | Would this be too big for a very skinny wrist |
Answer: | Depends on your wrist diameter, I have rather thin wrists at 50mm and the watch would wear fine. I’d say once the lug to lug width exceeds the diameter of your wrist, it’s too big. This watch has a lug to lug of 47mm or so. The case size/thickness shouldn’t be too much of a problem, 40mm case width and 14mm case thickness definitely has a presence on the wrist, but like the Rolex Submariner, it actually is a wearable size for most people. |
Question: | Which countries are making this watch |
Answer: | In very small print on back of this watch I think it says Malaysia .. does that help? |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are Invicta watch cases Fireproof |
Answer: | I have a 29 inch waist, and have no problem with the belt staying in place. As the weight on the chain pulls down during dips or pull-ups, the belt holds in place through pressing into the lumbar region of the back, as well as the upper portion of the glutes and hips. If you still feel like you need to shorten the chain you may feed it through the belt rings a couple of times. I would NOT use smaller carabiners as there may be a safety issue. |
Question: | how much is the size while opened |
Answer: | We hand make them in our shop in Edgewater FL, USA |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it come in a box |
Answer: | I really don't know for sure because I've never tried to carry that much weight, but I have a feeling that it would be able to hold 65 lbs and more. |
Question: | How long is the band length |
Answer: | It does come with the chain. Also with the pressure of the weight it rests against the back and doesn't slip. I've had 85 pounds on it and it held nicely. |
Question: | If you change the battery will it still be waterproof |
Answer: | No, it will not. My plates also have the one inch hole. I ordered this belt and it did not work. I had to make another plan. |
Question: | How do I make the band smaller |
Answer: | Hello, Thanks for reaching out! Blake and I hand-make every belt ourselves, and our current lead times to fulfill an order are always up to date. We fulfill orders chronologically. Lead times are currently extended during this busy holiday season, and show an accurate estimate of when to expect any item ordered. I hope than answers your question! |

An automatic watch is a mechanical watch that is self-winding. the movement of your wrist and body causes the rotor--a weight attached to an automatic winding mechanism--to wind up the watch. This automatic watch has 24 jewels that the gears turn on to protect the metal parts from grinding together. it needs no battery, but it will stop if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time. If this happens, wind the crown ten times clockwise to start the watch and give it some reserve power. Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. Pro Diver Collection
Plunge into any horizon using the steadfast guidance of the Invicta Pro Diver. Stylishly classic, internal workings are forged with variations of either Swiss chronograph or 21-jewel automatic movements and willingly navigate in depths up to 300 meters. Built with confident prowess, the fortitude with which these timepieces function makes the Pro Diver the quintessential in performance.

Answer: | No fireproof.... |
Question: | the invicta 17046 although it has a Stainles band does it also come with interchangeable black rubber band |
Answer: | Box Measurements: 11 1/2" L x 15 1/2" W x 6 1/2" H Individual Slot Measurements: 3-1/2" L x 2-1/4" W x 3-1/2" H |
Question: | Wher I can find what country is is manufactured |
Answer: | Since the watch band pins are the same as any other watch, you should be able to replace the current metal band with any other band that has the same size, leather or otherwise. The removal process is the same as with any watch. The key again is that replacement band has the same width at the attaching points as the metal band. Hope this helps. |

Question: | What do I do if I need bigger wristband |
Answer: | You won't need a bigger one unless you way to wear it on tou bicep. I had to have 3 links removed to wear it. |
Question: | Cómo hago para que lo envien a Cartagena, Colombia |
Answer: | Mando lo por fed ex |
Question: | Is this a fake or an invicta original |
Answer: | I doubt you'd find a fake Invicta on Amazon but what you must watch out for is being sent a standard Invicta when ordering and paying for the Reserve edition. I have experienced this first hand. The only option that was given to me was to return the watch which would have a been a waste of my time and money. |
