The sound is diminished onto the one earpiece troubleshooting tips : Most likely it is due to earwax inside the nozzle or sleeve. The nozzle is the passage way for the audio signal. The nozzle opening is very tiny. The smallest amount of wax or moisture can cause a drastic drop in sound level . First, replace the sleeves with new sleeves to see if that restores the full level .Then, please clean the nozzle to ensure it is not clogged. Over 90% of the earphones returned to Shure for service are not defective, but clogged. Some times, the wax is not visible to the eye, as it is either too small of an amount or is further up inside the earphone where it can not be seen. Even the smallest, non-visible amount can dramatically affect the output level . If you have the discontinued E4 or SCL4 model, replace the nozzle with a spare one supplied in the package. Simply unscrew the silver ring to replace the nozzle.If moisture gets in the nozzle due to cleaning or intense exercise, the earphone may cut out until it dries. Let the earphones sit overnight and then see if the sound level is restored . Shure has introduced new foam sleeves that include a wax filter. Question:	Can they be used in water
Answer:	According to the company, the IPX7 waterproof rating means they dunked the headphones briefly in water. They are NOT meant for submission in water (which is why i bought them, to save my $199 Beats, which are MORE water resistant than these are.) The quality is good (but not $199 good, of course) and while the packaging was impressive (3 ear tip types, a car charger, a lightning charger (which I could not get to work with the headphones,) a small 1' USB micro charger, and a carrying case, in a hard box similar to an Apple product) I cannot rate this product higher than a 1, since it did not fulfill the function I thought I was purchasing it for. If I just wanted headphones, I'd totally be down with these - but since they claimed they are waterproof and came up under the #swimming tag, I have to rate them 1. :-( BTW, I contacted them with the question, are these waterproof? and they responded with the above information. I am sorry i couldn't give them a higher rating, because their customer service was also awesome. I sent mine back because they were *not* waterproof for swimming, that's the only reason.

Answer:	Ok I know this is a really silly question, and everyone is rolling their eyes at you, but I have a protip. Cord goes behind your head, then hook the 2 earpieces together, then bend the silicone earpieces back and catch them on their own buds. Do it on both sides and it kind of "locks" them into each other (that or you know, pockets). I actually usually have a bandana on so I'll hook one side into the bandana real good and just keep one earbud in so I can hear if traffic is coming, but you can take the other one out and hook it to the bandana too.

Question:	I brought these, the sound is great but the directions are small, how long do i charge them and can i over charge them
Answer:	This is not electric or corded. It is a standard box cutter that works fabulously. Blades are somewhat hard to find and load. YouTube it though and it’s a snap!
Question:	Does it come with a charging cord
Answer:	Extend the blade. Slide the blade release "down", Not "in". Pull blade out. There is a indicator arrow molded into the side of the case to show those that won't (or can't) read the instructions. I suggest hiring a contractor to do your cutting, or use blunt nose scissors.
Question:	Do they work for iPhones
Answer:	“Made in U.S.A. with global materials.” That’s on the tag in the package mine came in. It is my favorite utility knife.
Question:	Can I ise these to talk on the phone
Answer:	No, there's not a pocket/belt clip on this retractable utility knife.

Question:	How do I get these into bluetooth pairing mode? I tried long pressing the power button but nothing
Answer:	Make sure your Bluetooth is turned to on your device, phone, iPad or whatever. Hold power button on buds until blinks red & blue at same time. Watch close it is easy to miss that blinking part. Don’t keep holding button when u see blinking. It should keep blinking while it is pairing. Your device will show the name of buds on it and ask to pair. Click pair & give it a sec. . Once it is paired every time you turn on your buds it will automatically pair again. Don’t turn off Bluetooth. Hope this helps!
Question:	What is the range on these headphones
Answer:	The Bluetooth range is about 20-30 feet.
Question:	I am not a fan of headphones that seal your ear completely and make it sound like you are in a deft bubble. Do these headphones do that
Answer:	These headphones come with the rubber tips. I find they do not seal completely leaving you in the bubble. I frankly like a more complete seal and have swapped out for the foam tips - easily done. Hope this helps!
Question:	Description says "w/mic". Where's the mic, and how effective is it
Answer:	It's in the right headphone (the one with the power and volume buttons). There's a little teeny-tiny hole next to the ear piece. That is the "mic". I've had no issues with it at all. I'm currently in a ldr and we are constantly on a video call together, and I use these headphones. At times, he would have trouble hearing me when I put the right headphone in my ear, so I just leave that one hanging and it sits on my..."chest" lol and works extremely well that way. I like to have one out of one of my ears anyway, so I am aware of what is going on around me. lol He uses the same ones and I hear him just fine. Never an issue. In fact, we both have 2 sets, so we can continue to use one set, while the other is charging. I love them and buy them as gifts for other people, every chance I get!
