User questions & answers
Question: | Does the 45s only come in white and purple |
Answer: | It is waterproof. I’ve swam with it in a pool and in the ocean (I was a little nervous about that, but no problems at all). |
Question: | Will this watch sync up to a Samsung Note |
Answer: | Yes it does, it also tracks elevation gain while cycling |
Question: | does this come with a charger |
Answer: | I have tiny wrists! The 235 face literally goes past the width of my wrist. The 35 is a nice fit. Bigger than what I'm use to wearing on my wrist in general but still looks good! |
Question: | Is it touch screen |
Answer: | I am looking at these two watches as well. I just went to my local running store today to talk to them about the 235 vs the 35 and they basically told me that they are the same watch except for thesefew differences.... the 235 has a color screen, longer battery life, and a few more running options like race pace estimating, V02 Max estimator, etc. If you go to the Garmin site and do the compare feature you can get a pretty good look at the differences. I also downloaded the manuals for both. I'm going to go with the 35. The extra features the 235 has are super nice but I don't think they are personally necessary for me. I run 5K's, half-marathons, and full-marathons and the 35 looks like it will be sufficient for me. Also, i'm a 34 year old female and the 234 looked HUGE on my wrist! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this watch waterproof |
Answer: | your best answer will be on the garmin website. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/641375/pn/010-02157-23 |
Question: | Does this track elevation gain during your run |
Answer: | In other words, not as a good as Sapphire. While the Power Glass and Gorilla glass appear slightly less reflective direct sunlight, the Sapphire is the superior material in terms of scratch resistance and I have found there is very little trade off in terms of visibility. |
Question: | Would this fit a small woman's wrist |
Answer: | The Fenix 6X Pro has detailed topographic maps of North America and also has a basemap that covers the rest of the world. Other map regions can be purchased and added to the watch if required |
Question: | What advantage does the 235 have over the 35 to justify $100+ more |
Answer: | The screen is made of a material called Power Glass. The Bezel is titanium and the case is a fiber-reinforced polymer with a stainless steel rear cover |
Question: | What material is the Solar's pro bezel made of |
Answer: | It is an activity tracker. It will track the quality of your sleep, but you must manually turn sleep mode on and off, but it is not an alarm clock. Manual may be found here: http://static.garmin.com/pumac/vivofit_OM_EN.pdf |
Question: | How does the strength & scratch resistance of garmin's power glass compare to sapphire and gorilla glass |
Answer: | There is no charger. The battery has a shelf life of apx 1 year. |
Question: | Which maps come with the fenix 6x pro? only north america or the entire world |
Answer: | It did not come in the original package |
Question: | Is the 6x Pro Solar Black model made of titanium and does it have a sapphire screen |
Answer: | This device does not track your heart rate. More expensive models may do that. |

User questions & answers
Question: | When in "normal" non-exercise mode, can i set the watch face just to display time, day & date |
Answer: | Yes, I wear it as a watch that normally displays time, date and battery life. Then I can toggle thru other displays when I want to see heart rate, steps, weather, calendar, workout, or any of the other features. |
Question: | Does the GPS work if it's covered by a jacket or long sleeved shirt |
Answer: | I purchased this for my wife so I do not use it however I am a surveyor so I do have vast experience with GPS. GPS signals will not be hindered by thin materials such as cloth. Inside buildings with wood and shingle roofs will throw the location of a bit reducing the accuracy. GPS signals simply do not penetrate metal objects. That being said you should not experience any loss of signal or accuracy using typical clothing items. You may experience some issues if the device was covered with something metallic such as those solar blankets. Perhaps a good experiment to ease your mind is use your cell phone's GPS tucked into your sleeve as the technology is nearly identical in all small consumer products. |
Question: | Is it water resistant |
Answer: | Yes, it is...I looked at the manual and the water rating is actually 5 ATM (atmospheres), not 5 meters. 5 ATM actually equates to about 50 meters deep, so technically you could swim or shower with this watch just fine. Just be aware that this model doesn't currently have any swim tracking features built in so there's not much of a point to swimming with it anyway (although you can install apps from Garmin Connect IQ, so perhaps there is a swim tracking app on there).Source: http://www.garmin.com/en-US/legal/waterrating(the "Swim" section of the table on that page has a footnote which references devices rated at 5ATM) |
Question: | Does this watch have continuous heart rate monitoring like the fitbit surge |
Answer: | I am not familiar with the fitbit however this garmin 235 monitors your heart rate constantly as long as you are wearing it. I wear mine even while I am sleeping. It is neat to see my resting heartbeat. Love it! |

User questions & answers
Question: | is this touch screen |
Answer: | Touch screen is garbage for exercise. Sweat + touch screen = no good. |
Question: | How do you tell it is Asian version |
Answer: | Primarily by its part number: APAC: Garmin part 010-01746-16 ROW: Garmin part 010-01746-00 APAC is the Asian version, and ROW is "Rest Of World". Functionally, there isnt much of a difference that you would know about. The APAC (Asian version) lags behind a month to several months for software version updates, but it does catch up eventually. The primary difference according to forums on the subject is language availability. That being said, I have not yet read where anyone having an Asian model could not do everything functionally that everyone else could do, including uploading data to Garmin Connect and usage of the site. This link will show you the picture differences in the packaging -note the part number difference: https://imgur.com/gallery/shzkPSh |
Question: | If it has the wrist heart rate monitor why do we need to buy the heart rate straps |
Answer: | The wrist monitor doesn't work in the water, which is why you'd want the SWIM band. Also, it isn't quite as accurate as a strap, which is what the regular TRI band is for. It also gives you running metrics that just the watch doesn't give you - that said, if you don't want a strap and want the metrics, there is a RD pod product from Garmin you can just clip onto your shorts. Personally, just the watch and the built in monitor are fine for me, as I use this watch primarily for running and biking. |
Question: | Is this the apac (asia pacific) version or the row (rest of world) version |
Answer: | I received mine on 25 March and it's the ROW version. I went with the default "fulfilled by Amazon" via one-day prime delivery. Not sure who the original seller was. |

Monitor Your Performance, Training and Recovery
Just how effective is your current training plan? Forerunner 935 will help you monitor your training and recovery so you can better prepare for a race or training cycle. Training status is a new performance monitoring tool that automatically evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to let you know if you’re training productively, peaking or overreaching. The new anaerobic training effect metric opens a window of insight to a critical dimension of training.
Analyze Your Technique
We’re making it easier to get the data you need to improve your form. Let Forerunner 935 measure crucial running metrics that you can use to analyze your performance. Biomechanical measurements such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio are the key to understanding your form so you can bring your best on race day. These metrics are available with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap or the compact Running Dynamics Pod, which clips right onto your waistband.
Run, Sprint, Swim, Bike, Tri
Your routine is anything but routine. Forerunner 935 lets you change things up with ease thanks to built-in activity profiles for running (indoor/outdoor), cycling (indoor/outdoor), swimming (pool/open water), cross-country skiing, paddle sports, trail running, hiking, strength training and many more. Wrist-based heart rate might be an easy choice when you want to move without restrictions on race day, but Forerunner 935 gives you the option to tap into much more data with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap. A chest strap heart rate monitor (like HRM-Run or HRM-Tri) unlocks advanced features such as lactate threshold and the HRV (heart rate variability) stress test.

User questions & answers
Question: | To get the advanced running data and analysis, i know i need a chest strap. does the strap need to be hrm run, or can it be hrm tri |
Answer: | I have the HRM Tri and I can get all advanced running data and analysis. The only difference between them is that the Tri version has a memory inside, so it stores data from the swimming portion. Other than that, they are the same. |
Question: | How is the durability of this watch |
Answer: | My worked great for 18 months. I loved it. Wore it daily. 2 full ironman races 3 halves and several other smaller races. Then I used it for 2 Xterra races. It quit halfway through Worlds on Maui. Bummer. Near as I can tell one of the buttons is frozen. I guess mountain biking is too much for it. I'm ordering a second watch but this time I will save it for training and races only. Get a cheapo Timex for daily wear and no more Xterra races with the Garmin just to be safe. |
Question: | Can the watch be charged while running |
Answer: | All the functions seem to work with the charging clip attached, but the clip would be incredibly uncomfortable if attached to the watch while being worn. The clip attaches to the watch at the "3 o'clock" position and is fairly bulky. It would likely interfere with the function of the on-board heart rate monitor since it clips to the bottom and top of the watch. |
Question: | Will this sync with my Commodore |
Answer: | What a funny thread. Hey, I had a Commodore 64 and a tape recorder for storage! And before that TR99 4A. It was too expensive to expand. Nice piece of early 80s computer history. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the 245 have wrist hr monitoring? my 235 has perfectly accurate wrist hr monitoring, and i would hate to lose that function with an 'upgrade |
Answer: | Yes it has hr wrist monitoring that I have found to be very accurate. |
Question: | Does it come with charger included |
Answer: | All Garmin devices come with a charger in the box. The included cable is data/charging cable for connecting to a computer for syncing data and charging. Blake with Garmin |
Question: | Does it tell altitudes |
Answer: | I love this watch. It does not have a barometer for altitude, but the GPS / Garmin connect figures the altitude from the maps (and from GPS until it looks at the maps). Fine if you're not counting stairs or mountain-biking seriously needing a barometer. Note, there are 2 versions, amazon lists it as one product, for example (Aqua-Music) 010-02120-22 is the ROW (rest-of-world) version and 010-02120-52 is the APAC (Asian-Pacific) version. The firmware releases are different !!! Not to mention the available languages. The suppliers ARE sending the APAC version without any way to tell (in Amazon) that that might happen. I love the watch. I did send back the APAC one that Amazon sent because I wanted to use beta firmware and order (for a higher price) from REI to get one that I know will be ROW. But for most people, probably they won't care, both have English and the same features... |
Question: | I see reviews mentioning asian version of the watch, which they mention is inferior. how can i make sure i get the us one/standard one |
Answer: | Not easily. Amazon fulfills it with third parties. There are (aqua-music) two product IDs: -22 and -52 for the ROW and APAC versions. Amazon is _LISTING_ the NON-Asian product ID - so you could keep ordering until they send you what they listed!!! What I did is once I realized I had an Asian one, I sent it back and ordered from REI. You can see a Product ID in the listing, it is the Rest-Of-World product ID. The difference that hit me is that the firmware isn't compatible - I didn't care about the languages, they both have English, but I wanted to install the 3.52 beta firmware - which is ROW only. :( |

GPS Running Watch with Music and Contactless Payments
Music
With up to 500 songs worth of music storage built right into your watch, we’re putting the 'beat' in your daily mission to beat yesterday. It’s easy to transfer music from your computer and then queue up your favorite playlist for easy listening through Bluetooth headphones. You can even sync your carefully crafted playlists from select music streaming services to your watch for more ad-free listening. Now you really can leave your phone behind when you head out for a run, because the music that helps keep you moving is right there on your wrist.
Paying Made Easy
Always on the run? Feel free to leave your phone and wallet behind. Forerunner 645 Music features Garmin Pay contactless payment solution, which lets you pay for purchases with your watch. Use it just about anywhere you can tap your card to pay. A bottle of water here, a bite to eat there — just pay, and keep on moving.
Tune up Your Training
We’re making it easier to get the data you need to improve your form. Let Forerunner 645 Music measure crucial running metrics that you can use to analyze your performance. Biomechanical measurements, such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio, are the key to understanding your form so you can bring your best on race day. These metrics are available with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap or the compact Running Dynamics Pod, which clips right onto your waistband. Also, take advantage of feature sets to help with cycling and even swim training. In the pool, Forerunner 645 will track your distance, pace, stroke count and more.
Monitor Your Performance
Just how effective is your current training plan? Forerunner 645 Music will help you monitor your training and recovery so you can better prepare for a race or training cycle. Training status is a performance monitoring tool that automatically evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to let you know if you’re training productively, peaking or overreaching. The anaerobic training effect metric opens a window of insight to a critical dimension of training, telling you how your training is improving your ability to push the limits. You can even view your overall training load, which measures your exercise volume from the last 7 days and compares it to the optimal range for your fitness and recent training history.

User questions & answers
Question: | protection coverage |
Answer: | The description says sm/med is for 5 - 7.5 ". My measurement is 6" and it fits very well. Hope this helps. |
Question: | does this come with battery charger |
Answer: | The wrist brace does have 2 semi-rigid plastic stays that when relaxed, are on the sides. My wrist is small so when I secure the brace, the stays are somewhat closer to the top than the sides. This is my 2nd Mueller brace and has been one of the best ones I have found and used. Will be happy to answer any other question. |
Question: | What does eu mean |
Answer: | It is a quality broduct. All straps are heavy elastic and velcro. |
Question: | Can it be used for water aerobics where it will monitor workout |
Answer: | For me this is the best wrist brace. The material last longer than the other brands I tried . Also it is so easy to put it on yourself. |
Question: | This is a very sophisticated charger, maybe most sophisticated! Is it able to have its firmware upgraded as you develop updated technology |
Answer: | This brace opens completely, and is then closed with two layers of velcro. The first layer of velcro in non-elastic so can be used to make it fit as tight as a glove, and the second layer is on elastic so can tighten it more. You could open it completely as often as you want, or leave the first layer fitted like a glove and slip it on, then tighten it with the second. |
Question: | What comes in the box |
Answer: | Thank you for your interest in Mueller products. The part of the brace you're asking about is made with a vinyl material, not actual leather. |
Question: | is it fast charging |
Answer: | Hi,Thanks for checking out an item we offer within our Amazon store. You for sure can wear this brace when lifting. You will have some trouble doing any lifting where you want to bend your wrist as this will deter you from doing that. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks again.Larry, LNC Sports, LLC |
Question: | can i use it dierctly in new york |
Answer: | I returned this because I did not care for the fit and the material was scratchy. I could not wear it for 8 minutes let alone 8 hours. Futuro sport are much more comfy. |

Multisport GPS Watch With Maps, Music, Metrics and More
Your Roadmap to Success
Whether you’re in the city or on the trail, all fēnix 5 Plus Series watches provide built-in mapping and navigation features to help keep you oriented and on course. Full-color TOPO mapping comes preloaded with map data optimized for at-a-glance navigation and location tracking. For runners and cyclists, the device also features Trendline popularity routing, which uses billions of miles of Garmin Connect data to help you find and follow the best trails and routes.
Multinetwork Navigation
Every fēnix 5 Plus Series watch features multinetwork (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo) satellite reception to track in more challenging environments than GPS alone. In addition to map-based guidance, each watch also provides a set of ABC (altimeter, barometer and compass) sensors for outdoor navigation. The built-in altimeter provides elevation data to accurately monitor ascent and descent for activities such as hiking, while the tilt-compensated three-axis electronic compass keeps your bearing — whether you’re moving or not.
Advanced Performance Metrics
When you’re pushing your limits, you need a decisive edge. fēnix delivers with sophisticated training features to monitor your form and performance. Tap into physiological metrics, running dynamics and more to track your workout stats, measure your progress and fine-tune your form. Training status automatically evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to let you know if you’re overtraining, maintaining or peaking. You can also view your overall training load, which measures your exercise volume from the last 7 days and compares it to the optimal range for your fitness and recent training history. Special preloaded activity profiles are provided for swimming, running, biking, hiking, skiing, rowing, paddle boarding and more. For added motivation, download advanced workouts and training plans from Garmin Connect.
Wrist-based Heart Rate
On your wrist, Elevate wrist heart rate technology lets you monitor your heart rate without wearing a chest strap. In addition to counting steps and monitoring sleep, the watch uses heart rate to provide calories burned information and quantify the intensity of your fitness activities. It also measures your heart rate variability to calculate a stress score that helps you assess what level of activity your body is ready for.
A Little Traveling Music
Got a power song that gets you pumped up for a race or tough workout? Now you can have up to 500 songs stored right on your watch, for phone-free listening on the go. It’s easy to transfer music from your computer and then queue up your favorite playlist for easy listening through compatible Bluetooth headphones (sold separately). You can even sync your carefully crafted playlists from select music streaming services (May require premium subscription by a third-party music provider) to your watch for more ad-free listening. So leave your phone behind when you head out for a run or ride, because the music that keeps you moving is right there on your wrist.
Pay with a Wave of Your Hand
To help keep pace with your active lifestyle, fēnix 5 Plus devices feature our Garmin Pay contactless payment solution. Use it to pay for purchases so you can breeze through checkout lines while leaving your cash and cards at home. Try it anywhere there’s a scanner for contactless payments.
Stay Smartly Connected
All fēnix 5 Plus Series models support smart notifications when paired with a compatible device. Receive emails, texts and alerts right on your watch — whether you're on the trail, on the golf course or simply away from your desk. Other connected features include automatic uploads to our Garmin Connect online fitness community, live tracking, GroupTrack and social media sharing through our free Garmin Connect and Garmin Connect Mobile applications.
Premium Materials, Robust Performance
Built for rugged adventures and crafted of the finest premium-grade materials, fēnix 5 Plus Series watches are available in a variety of finish choices, including PVD-coated stainless steel bezel and DLC titanium bezel version. A bright, high-resolution, full-color Garmin Chroma Display with LED backlighting assures readability in all ambient conditions. And transflective technology that reflects and transmits light at the same time enables the watch face to become even more readable under intense sunlight. For added scratch resistance, a high-strength domed sapphire lens is available on several fēnix 5 Plus Series models.
Custom Apps, Watch Faces and Bands
You can customize any fēnix watch with free downloads from our Connect IQ store. Change your watch face, add data fields or get apps and widgets for information at a glance. There’s also a wide selection of QuickFit bands in your choice of premium leather, metal or silicone — so it’s easy to mix and match styles to go with any sport or activity. No tools are required to make the transformation. Just swap, click and go. With Garmin, you can add personality to your watch that’s uniquely you.
Running Power
Add power data to your training by downloading our Running Power app from the Connect IQ store onto your compatible watch. Developed by Garmin Labs, the Running Power app taps into metrics — such as pace, vertical oscillation, grade and even local wind conditions — to determine the amount of power you’re applying at the ground as you run. When you know how much power you’re expending from minute to minute and mile to mile, you’re better able to pace yourself, which can help keep you from tiring out too quickly. The best news? If you already own the right Garmin devices, adding power to your run is free. All you need is a fēnix 5 and one of these accessories: HRM-Run, HRM-Tri or the Running Dynamics Pod. Learn more.
