User questions & answers
Question: | what is the diameter of the clock |
Answer: | Not that I can tell. We have tried to use these and found them hard to regulate. You have to pump with your fingers on the sides every time to get the product up into the top. Then you pour the liquid in the top onto your food. If you are using vinegar, you have to be careful or the product will spray all over as you pump. |
Question: | Is this the Asian or US version |
Answer: | It has never leaked while I was shaking it, so I doubt that it would leak in a bag unless you throw it hard enough to crack the bottle. |
Question: | Does it come with the charging cord |
Answer: | I've had good luck putting the bottom half in the microwave for a few seconds (less than 10). Don't put the top half in. I learned that the hard way. The gasket around the the spout deformed and no longer sealed the contents. Pull the dressing out before it is fully liquid or you will have splatters all over the interior of your microwave. Just soften the oil enough to allow you to mix it by shaking the bottle. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what is a "non-standard" battery |
Answer: | Evidently it has a battery that you can only have replaced by them...my previous garmins had the same thing. I have heard that people can replace it with a battery from an IPOD, takes some soldering in either case. I have not done that. Batteries on all of my garmins have lasted for years. |
Question: | I purchased Garmin Forerunner 310XT Waterproof Running GPS. I need to buy a Heart rate monitor that is compatible. Tell me wich please |
Answer: | Garmin will tell you need the Garmin Premium Heart Rate Monitor (Soft Strap, ANT+ compatible). I am using the Garmin Heart-Rate Monitor (Regular Strap) I had from my deceased Forerunner 205 and it works fine. Some people complain the old monitor can hurt the side of the chest over the ribcage, so you might choose the new one. It seems to be a lot lighter too. The old one tends to slip when it is not tightly adjusted. Hope this helps. |
Question: | How well does this work with training on a treadmill when you have to been indoors and stationary |
Answer: | I use the foot pod when running on the treadmill. You will get speed, distance and cadence information that is in the same format as when using the GPS. The foot pod will also give you cadence when are using the GPS outdoors. |
Question: | I am a petite woman with small wrists. Will this watch be too big and/or uncomfortable on a 5 or 6 inch wrist |
Answer: | I am also petite, 5 feet even and less than 100 pounds. While the watch is larger than a conventional one, I do not find it uncomfortable, and I have used it on runs as long as a marathon. |

User questions & answers
Question: | When in "normal" non-exercise mode, can i set the watch face just to display time, day & date |
Answer: | Yes, I wear it as a watch that normally displays time, date and battery life. Then I can toggle thru other displays when I want to see heart rate, steps, weather, calendar, workout, or any of the other features. |
Question: | Does the GPS work if it's covered by a jacket or long sleeved shirt |
Answer: | I purchased this for my wife so I do not use it however I am a surveyor so I do have vast experience with GPS. GPS signals will not be hindered by thin materials such as cloth. Inside buildings with wood and shingle roofs will throw the location of a bit reducing the accuracy. GPS signals simply do not penetrate metal objects. That being said you should not experience any loss of signal or accuracy using typical clothing items. You may experience some issues if the device was covered with something metallic such as those solar blankets. Perhaps a good experiment to ease your mind is use your cell phone's GPS tucked into your sleeve as the technology is nearly identical in all small consumer products. |
Question: | Is it water resistant |
Answer: | Yes, it is...I looked at the manual and the water rating is actually 5 ATM (atmospheres), not 5 meters. 5 ATM actually equates to about 50 meters deep, so technically you could swim or shower with this watch just fine. Just be aware that this model doesn't currently have any swim tracking features built in so there's not much of a point to swimming with it anyway (although you can install apps from Garmin Connect IQ, so perhaps there is a swim tracking app on there).Source: http://www.garmin.com/en-US/legal/waterrating(the "Swim" section of the table on that page has a footnote which references devices rated at 5ATM) |
Question: | Does this watch have continuous heart rate monitoring like the fitbit surge |
Answer: | I am not familiar with the fitbit however this garmin 235 monitors your heart rate constantly as long as you are wearing it. I wear mine even while I am sleeping. It is neat to see my resting heartbeat. Love it! |

Question: | Does this track elevation gain during your run |

Answer: | The screen is made of a material called Power Glass. The Bezel is titanium and the case is a fiber-reinforced polymer with a stainless steel rear cover |
Question: | What material is the Solar's pro bezel made of |
Answer: | It is an activity tracker. It will track the quality of your sleep, but you must manually turn sleep mode on and off, but it is not an alarm clock. Manual may be found here: http://static.garmin.com/pumac/vivofit_OM_EN.pdf |
Question: | How does the strength & scratch resistance of garmin's power glass compare to sapphire and gorilla glass |
Answer: | There is no charger. The battery has a shelf life of apx 1 year. |
Question: | Which maps come with the fenix 6x pro? only north america or the entire world |
Answer: | It did not come in the original package |
Question: | Is the 6x Pro Solar Black model made of titanium and does it have a sapphire screen |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the 45s only come in white and purple |
Answer: | It is waterproof. I’ve swam with it in a pool and in the ocean (I was a little nervous about that, but no problems at all). |
Question: | Will this watch sync up to a Samsung Note |
Answer: | Yes it does, it also tracks elevation gain while cycling |
Question: | does this come with a charger |
Answer: | I have tiny wrists! The 235 face literally goes past the width of my wrist. The 35 is a nice fit. Bigger than what I'm use to wearing on my wrist in general but still looks good! |
Question: | Is it touch screen |
Answer: | I am looking at these two watches as well. I just went to my local running store today to talk to them about the 235 vs the 35 and they basically told me that they are the same watch except for thesefew differences.... the 235 has a color screen, longer battery life, and a few more running options like race pace estimating, V02 Max estimator, etc. If you go to the Garmin site and do the compare feature you can get a pretty good look at the differences. I also downloaded the manuals for both. I'm going to go with the 35. The extra features the 235 has are super nice but I don't think they are personally necessary for me. I run 5K's, half-marathons, and full-marathons and the 35 looks like it will be sufficient for me. Also, i'm a 34 year old female and the 234 looked HUGE on my wrist! |

User questions & answers
Question: | is this touch screen |
Answer: | Touch screen is garbage for exercise. Sweat + touch screen = no good. |
Question: | How do you tell it is Asian version |
Answer: | Primarily by its part number: APAC: Garmin part 010-01746-16 ROW: Garmin part 010-01746-00 APAC is the Asian version, and ROW is "Rest Of World". Functionally, there isnt much of a difference that you would know about. The APAC (Asian version) lags behind a month to several months for software version updates, but it does catch up eventually. The primary difference according to forums on the subject is language availability. That being said, I have not yet read where anyone having an Asian model could not do everything functionally that everyone else could do, including uploading data to Garmin Connect and usage of the site. This link will show you the picture differences in the packaging -note the part number difference: https://imgur.com/gallery/shzkPSh |
Question: | If it has the wrist heart rate monitor why do we need to buy the heart rate straps |
Answer: | The wrist monitor doesn't work in the water, which is why you'd want the SWIM band. Also, it isn't quite as accurate as a strap, which is what the regular TRI band is for. It also gives you running metrics that just the watch doesn't give you - that said, if you don't want a strap and want the metrics, there is a RD pod product from Garmin you can just clip onto your shorts. Personally, just the watch and the built in monitor are fine for me, as I use this watch primarily for running and biking. |
Question: | Is this the apac (asia pacific) version or the row (rest of world) version |
Answer: | I received mine on 25 March and it's the ROW version. I went with the default "fulfilled by Amazon" via one-day prime delivery. Not sure who the original seller was. |

Forerunner 935
Monitor Your Performance, Training and Recovery
Just how effective is your current training plan? Forerunner 935 will help you monitor your training and recovery so you can better prepare for a race or training cycle. Training status is a new performance monitoring tool that automatically evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to let you know if you’re training productively, peaking or overreaching. The new anaerobic training effect metric opens a window of insight to a critical dimension of training.
Analyze Your Technique
We’re making it easier to get the data you need to improve your form. Let Forerunner 935 measure crucial running metrics that you can use to analyze your performance. Biomechanical measurements such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio are the key to understanding your form so you can bring your best on race day. These metrics are available with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap or the compact Running Dynamics Pod, which clips right onto your waistband.
Run, Sprint, Swim, Bike, Tri
Your routine is anything but routine. Forerunner 935 lets you change things up with ease thanks to built-in activity profiles for running (indoor/outdoor), cycling (indoor/outdoor), swimming (pool/open water), cross-country skiing, paddle sports, trail running, hiking, strength training and many more. For brick workouts and du/triathlon races, the auto multisport feature lets you switch sports with just one button press. The 935 is compatible with advanced workouts for running, cycling — and even pool swimming.
Smarter Connections
Smart notifications delivered right to your wrist are just the beginning. When paired with your compatible smartphone, Forerunner 935 also gives you access to automatic uploads to Garmin Connect, audio prompts, music controls and more. Let your loved ones follow your runs and rides in real time with LiveTrack — or use GroupTrack, which lets you keep tabs on your riding buddies as you go. For getting your data to and from the cloud, if you like the quick connection Wi-Fi provides, 935 can do that, too.
Follow Your Heart
Wrist-based heart rate might be an easy choice when you want to move without restrictions on race day, but Forerunner 935 gives you the option to tap into much more data with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap. A chest strap heart rate monitor (like HRM-Run or HRM-Tri) unlocks advanced features such as lactate threshold and the HRV (heart rate variability) stress test.
Make Every Day a Competition
Get the extra push you need to beat yesterday with Strava Live Segments. Strava Premium members can sync running and cycling segments to their 935 for live feedback during their activities. Also get alerts for segment starts and finishes, view leaderboard rankings, and see how your current effort compares to your PR.

User questions & answers
Question: | To get the advanced running data and analysis, i know i need a chest strap. does the strap need to be hrm run, or can it be hrm tri |
Answer: | I have the HRM Tri and I can get all advanced running data and analysis. The only difference between them is that the Tri version has a memory inside, so it stores data from the swimming portion. Other than that, they are the same. |
Question: | How is the durability of this watch |
Answer: | My worked great for 18 months. I loved it. Wore it daily. 2 full ironman races 3 halves and several other smaller races. Then I used it for 2 Xterra races. It quit halfway through Worlds on Maui. Bummer. Near as I can tell one of the buttons is frozen. I guess mountain biking is too much for it. I'm ordering a second watch but this time I will save it for training and races only. Get a cheapo Timex for daily wear and no more Xterra races with the Garmin just to be safe. |
Question: | Can the watch be charged while running |
Answer: | All the functions seem to work with the charging clip attached, but the clip would be incredibly uncomfortable if attached to the watch while being worn. The clip attaches to the watch at the "3 o'clock" position and is fairly bulky. It would likely interfere with the function of the on-board heart rate monitor since it clips to the bottom and top of the watch. |
Question: | Will this sync with my Commodore |
Answer: | What a funny thread. Hey, I had a Commodore 64 and a tape recorder for storage! And before that TR99 4A. It was too expensive to expand. Nice piece of early 80s computer history. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this have voice prompts? Specifically want to use it for Tabata training. i.e. with app that counts down work/rest intervals |
Answer: | It does not have speaker, so unfortunately no. |
Question: | Does this watch automatically track exercise activity like Fitbit, or do you have to manually start an activity (e.g. a run) from the watch |
Answer: | The Garmin keeps track of everything a Fitbit does, steps ,heart rate, calories, etc. That said, if youre doing something "special", like a long run, by pushing 1 button (top rt.) and touching the watch screen once, it will connect with gps and after you're run, will show you a map of youre route with that run's stats. You can do this for all types of activities, not just running or walking. It even has a treadmill, or cycling setting. I love this watch, i think you will too. Its VERY easy to learn, most activities are done with 1 or 2 touches! |
Question: | Do I need to have a cell phone provider connect service to the watch |
Answer: | No you don’t |
Question: | Does this watch pair with iphone and android phones |
Answer: | Yes, as long as the phone meets our 'Bluetooth' requirements. Please go to support.garmin.com where you'll find FAQ's on the 'Bluetooth' requirements. Debbie with Garmin |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the Garmin Venu´s display stay permanently on |
Answer: | Certain watch faces seem to have more trouble staying on than others. Also, the image does not stay permanently on, just the time. |
Question: | Is the display always on like on the other Garmin watches |
Answer: | Yes you can turn on always on display. |
Question: | How does the always on mode affect the battery life? Can you still get to ~5 days on a charge |
Answer: | No, I don’t think so, probably more like 3. |
Question: | How is this watch different from Vivoactive 4 besides the display |
Answer: | I got the Venu over the Vivoactive 4 simply because of the display. I personally didnt see any notable differences between the two models. if you are looking for detailed differences you should compare the specs between the two. The only thing i can see a difference in is the battery life/display. Based on over a month of usage, on average i get a solid 6-7 days of regular usage. |

Maximize Performance
Forerunner 945 monitors your performance and even offers personalized insight, so you can train smarter, not harder. The smartwatch tracks your VO2 max and adjusts the value based on heat and altitude. Training status evaluates your recent exercise history and performance indicators to let you know if you’re training productively, peaking or overreaching. See how your workouts influence the development of endurance, speed and power with aerobic and anaerobic training effect feedback. Recovery time helps you maximize the benefit of your efforts by predicting when you will be ready for your next tough challenge. You can even view your overall training load, which measures your exercise volume from the last 7 days and compares it to the optimal range for your fitness and recent training history. And — new for Forerunner 945 — training load focus sorts your recent training history into different categories based on activity structure and intensity.
An Easier Way to Pay
The Forerunner 945 GPS smartwatch features Garmin Pay, which lets you pay for purchases with your watch. Use it just about anywhere you can tap your card to pay. Now you can leave your wallet behind without missing out on that post-run caffè latte. Just tap and go.

And safety and tracking features allows you to send your location to chosen contacts in case you need assistance — manually, or automatically with built-in incident detection.
Track More Than Ever Before
For such a lightweight watch, you’ll be surprised by everything Forerunner 945 can track. It features multinetwork (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo) satellite reception to track in more challenging environments than GPS alone. It features estimated wrist-based heart rate and a wrist-based Pulse Ox sensor (this is not a medical device and is not intended for use in the diagnosis or monitoring of any medical condition; see Garmin.com/ataccuracy. Pulse Ox not available in all countries.) which monitors blood oxygen saturation levels to support advanced sleep monitoring and altitude acclimation.
Workouts and Training Plans
Whether you’re training for a marathon or something even longer, create your own custom workouts, or download free ones that sync right to your watch. Forerunner 945 also supports Garmin Coach adaptive training plans. These plans feature guidance from expert coaches and free training plans that adapt to you and your goals. It’s a foolproof way to get to the finish line. As part of your training plan, it can even help you predict your race time.
Analyze Your Running Form
The Forerunner 945 GPS smartwatch also has the tools you need to improve your running form. The watch measures crucial running metrics such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio. These measurements are the key to understanding your form, so you can bring your best on every run and at every race. Your Forerunner 945 can start tracking these metrics with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap or the compact Running Dynamics Pod, which clips right onto your waistband.
