Answer:	Yes it does.
Question:	can you charge the ipad while it's in the case
Answer:	Yes you can. There are slots on the sides to run a cable into it. We bought a 15' charging cable for it so we can leave it plugged in.
Question:	where/how does it lock
Answer:	It doesnt technically have a lock. Instead it has two screws that require a special allen wrench (provided). These secure the two metal shells together. I found it cumbersome as i wanted to remove each night.
