Answer:	I have used a similar cable for my CenturyLink C1000A and C1900A routers. This cable would also be an upgrade for old internal phone wiring (un-shielded twisted pair).

Answer:	This should work for any standard DSL connection, so AT&T should be fine, as long as it's their DSL service. This will not work for any cable or fiber optic services. It goes between your wall jack and WAN port on your modem. It should replace the standard telephone line they usually send you when you get the modem.

Answer:	Hello Ning. The c2G cable sold here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002J2ANE?ref_=pe_527950_33920250, stands for "Cables 2 Go." It is a specially shielded cord normally used to connect a standard Land Line telephone to its wall outlet. The cable sold here has extra shielding so that DSL signals do not degrade as much when using the cord. For me it was the difference between my DSL MODEM having a signal by using the cord or NOT having a DSL signal by using a different, non-shielded cord. The c2G cord I bought was 50 feet long and snakes through walls and basement. Excellent cord, I would recommend it if you are having problems maintaining your DSL signal when using such a cord.

Answer:	Physically they are the same connector, so if an RJ11 plug will fit into a socket, then an RJ12 could instead.Where they differ is the wiring. RJ11 has wires to 4 of the 6 pins, where as RJ12 uses all 6. Yes, I believe it will.

Answer:	I talked to someone at at&t who gave me help with mines after I changed settings on it and he says do not plug the dsl cable into the filter but only phone/fax lines. And mines was always plugged into a filter and it wasn’t working great. Based on the ratings though, not sure if that was the reason, lol. The wires on my cable were exposed near the top which could’ve contributed also.

Answer:	I just recently subscribed to the UVERSE service and so far it hasn't been so bad. I've had consistent speeds but the price is still pretty high for only 12mbps..I spoke with a few technical support engineers and sales representatives and I was told that you will have to get the UVERSE gateway to use their service. You have two options you can either purchase the service online but you will be asked to pay for the gateway and also be asked to pay an additiona $100 installation fee. Option 2 you can buy a gateway online and save yourself a few hundred dollars and they would basically have to do is flip on a switch to activate your service. The only way to do option 2 would be calling their local sales representatives otherwise you will be forced to do option 1 through their website.If you are however buying gateways through third party sellers I would recommend that you make sure they send you the right power supplies and test to see if their ethernet ports are functional. I bought mine through here but I had a bad experience in trying to find out why my device wasn't working and that was because the power supply was the wrong power supply for the device and my ethernet ports were not functional. Till this day I still haven't been able to fix my Ethernet ports but it is already too late to file for a claim.

On U-verse you've always had to use equipment that has AT&T custom firmware with an 802.3x authentication certificate in it.

Answer:	Where we use our Netgear router is in a nursing facility. The building is about 900 feet in length and 90 feet in width. The Netgear router by itself doesn't have enough range to reach all corners of the building. I added 3 wifi repeaters to the Netgear router and have pretty good coverage of the whole building. I don't remember the make or model of the repeater. You may have a similar problem. Replacing just the router may not help.

Answer:	Yes.However,if your provider is using CABLE, you must get the CABLE MODEM! DSL is for Telephone Line Internet. Netgear has a comparable CABLE MODEM to the D6200. These Modems can handle approximately 300Mps and above...well over your question.
