Answer:	Sometimes if the wick dries out it can stop. Try soaking it and then turn it on, as long as there is water in it, soak the cotton tube before work and it will work .

Answer:	Essick Air AIRCARE 1043 Replacement Space Saver Wick. Amazon sells a 3 pack. That is what I ordered. One filter usually lasts me all winter.
Question:	Is it directional at all? Does it point the air? We do want to point the air
Answer:	No. It blows the air straight up. All you can do is point the front of the unit in the direction you want but get little more than straight up. On 2nd and 3rd speed unit is very noisy so I only use the low speed. Also the float rod that shuts the unit off when it needs filling is unusable because of the cheap design. I corrected this by putting Gorilla Tape on the float switch to get the unit to run, but now I have to monitor the water level manually. I do not recommend buying this unit but the price is right for a cheap unit.Tim, Essex, MD
Question:	How big is the water reservoir in gallons, ounces, not time
Answer:	I just got this unit in the 2700 square foot size and I do not care what anyone else says, I just put 6 1 gallon containers of R/O water into this unit without any overflow. In fact, not even close. It holds 6 gallons. Period.

Question:	Where do you get the filters
Answer:	Yes it only releases water to a certain level. Has a spring loaded cap that dispenses as needed. There is a wicking filter that has to be replaced occasionally. It has a humidity control that you set for your comfort level.
Question:	Are the wick and filter the same thing
Answer:	Holds one bottle full which is 2-1/2 gallons. Unless it is really cold out, one bottle lasts 24 hours. Best is to plan filling it up first thing in the morning and that will last 24 hours. When it is mild out (75 ° in KC today) one bottle will last 2 days.
Question:	Is the Copper night selection model hd3120dcn
Answer:	I live in the desert so on "Low" I would have to fill it twice a day, on "High" I would have to fill it 3 times a day.
Question:	The top of the filter housing on mine only connects on the two front tabs. The back of the housing just sits on top of filter. Is this correct
Answer:	Sort of hard to say - since it's subjective. I keep mine outside my bedroom door - on the first speed - and it doesn't bother me at all. Sort of just a low fan sound - about the same as the heat kicking on and off. I don't notice it at all. However, all of the other speeds, in my opinion, are very loud. It goes up to 5 - and that sounds like a 747 idling. I guess if you had it in some remote location and wanted to crank it up, the higher speeds would work. I live in a 1200 sq ft townhome and, set at 45, it keep the upstairs (where it is) at about 45% and the downstairs at about 35%. Perfect for me. I'm really happy with it. No more shocking all the pets with static electricity!
