I have the Asus Rog gaming laptop and a HP Envy. Both are 17" and fit the backpack. They are tight but they do fit. So I measured the Width and both come in at 16 1/2 inches so if you have a 17" that is larger which I am hearing some are, you may want to wait till they make some adjustments.
