Answer:	I love this bag. I don't use it for a laptop bag though. Just a backpack. Jammed with all my stuff and zipped closed it is only 14 in tall. If the bag was empty, you may be able to get your 15 inch laptop in but with mine full and zipped closed, I stood my 15 inch laptop next to it in the bag would be too short.

Answer:	The straps are leather backed by nylon. I wish they were a bit wider. Also, the bag is made from split leather, which is probably why the price is so good. I’ve had my bag for one week. So far it seems pretty durable despite being made from splits. I also got rained on with it, and it repelled the water pretty well. The straps are very easy to convert back and forth from shoulder to back pack. All in all, a nice looking bag with attractive hardware (zipper, clasp). Many pockets inside, too.

Answer:	Bought this backpack for my 14 year old daughter. She loves it and says that it is durable. Looking at the backpack it seems to be made well.

Answer:	It is definitely smaller than the backpacks many kids carry around these days so I'm not sure it would carry all the books and accessories you mention. There is no water bottle holder on the side like many packs have and I wouldn't carry my water inside in case of a leak so I carry it separately or attach it to the strap. I keep my lunch bag separate as well because I don't want it to get smashed but it would fit in the outside pouch. I don't have any room issues with all of my notebooks, small laptop, pencil case, and a book or two. It's really cute though and I get lots of compliments for having something different than everyone else.

I use it as my school bag but many of my larger class books are online now and I have my other stuff organized in binders which do fit in the bag. I think its perfect for school but it would be considered small compared to most. I just wanted to make sure you were informed but I'd said yes you can use it for you freshman year in high school.
