Answer:	01March2020 - I owned this backpack up until Friday when my rental vehicle was broken into and someone stole the backpack. I travel a lot somewhere between 6 and 8 months out of the year. In the past 2 months it has not mattered if your laptop is in a TSA approved backpack it will be removed out of the bag. Either way I am looking to replace my stolen bag with the same backpack since it is extremely durable and very high quality. I mean it has endured 3 years of overhead and underneath seat storage on airplanes. This backpack is a great buy.
Question:	Is these bag waterproof/ protect from rain
Answer:	I don't think it's 100% water proof. It's more water resistant. I think if you are standing a drenching rain for a period time, everything will get wet. But walking around for a short period of time in the rain, it should be okay. My son uses this at all weather to walk in between classes at school.

Answer:	I have an Alienware Gaming laptop that has a 17.3in display and it fits in the laptop compartment with room to spare. I have about a half an inch of room on top where the corner of the laptop is closet to the zipper, about an inch of head room at the very top and about two inches of room on the side. No jack knifing in in there either, it's perfect for my needs.

Answer:	Actually most 17" laptops have a dimension of 15x10.3 so if yours fit that dimension it should fit. So measure the height and width of your laptop and see if it fits the 15.2" dimensions.

Answer:	No, but two mesh pockets on the side.
Question:	Does this backpack has a section for ipad mini or samsung tab
Answer:	In the smaller section of the bag, there is a "sleeve pocket area" that would fit either of those devices, but it's not made for them and it's not padded. When I put my iPad mini in that slot it moves around a bit. I usually put my iPad mini in the main compartment in the padded laptop area to protect it more.
Question:	Does this model have the stippled plastic bottom that's waterproof (have an old SG pack with that and looking for the same, NOT just nylon bottom
Answer:	No it has a nylon bottom with a pretty durable feel but it's definitely not water proof.

Then (rarely) I must pull out the laptops and they stow it (“gate checked”) in the belly for the flight.

Answer:	Not certain about exact dimensions, however I have a 17” MSI laptop with the thick rugged case I carry in my backpack. It is just a tiny bit too large for the backpack as I caused the zipper to break. However the slightly smaller form HP laptop fits fine.

Answer:	Water resistant would be my opinion. Zippers are not sealed to prevent water intrusion into the inner compartments. However, the shell is sturdy and repelled spills sufficient to protect the laptop.
