Answer:	Technically you can but not recommended. You will likely get terrible performance because the CPU and memory is not designed for this use case. 512MB RAM is very low for a datastore. This model is really geared towards traditional file sharing and media streaming. You want something with higher CPU and read/wrtie caching like the DS218/DS218+.

Answer:	No, the DS220j only supports 512MB

Answer:	Carlos is correct. 16tb is the limit of the ds218j or 8tb in raid configuration and the DS220j is 2ea 12 Tb for a total of 24Tb or 12Tb, in used in a raid situation.

Answer:	The router is listed in the dd-wrt site, but I haven't tried flashing it. From what I can see, though, there's not much difference between the stock dd-wrt and the buffalo interface besides the branding. It didn't come broke, so as of now I have no need to fix it.

Answer:	Yes, it has an HDMI port but it's for showing the codes for developers who may log in the background of the NAS to run commands. The HDMI port is not for displaying videos.

Answer:	If the drives will be created as a RAID mode, it's suggested to use the drives in the same brand and size. The WD red hard drives and the Seagate IronWolf hard drives are recommended. If you use these drives as individual ones, you may use drives in different sizes.

Answer:	In the 8 bay area i have 8 3.5 hdd (5) 10tb (1) 8tb (1) 6tb (1) 4 tb, the avg temp stays around 34-35 c. I replaced (1) 5.25 drive bay with icy dock 4 x 2.5 ssd and the other 5.25 drive bay with startec 5.25 trayless hot swap rack. The system is for unraid server with several vm's run 24/7, file sharing , plex along with docker containers etc. The only time i have seen any temps above 40c was on the 8tb drive when doing parity check and then never near the manufacturing max of the drive. Note that I did replace the fans with Noctual fans, i did this based on some of the articles i had read about air flow not being the best in this case.

Answer:	The back side has 16 connectors but the bay side only has 8 slots for the drives to slide into not sure why they put the extra one on the back.

Answer:	Yes, I have both. I LOVE the suede. I have about 4 of them and one of the stickyfiber. To be honest, I really do prefer the suede, especially in flow based classes. Both towels need to be wet before practice. The stickyfiber is great for slower more Hatha or Iyengar based classes where you hold the pose longer. I primarily do hot vinyasa and I prefer the feel of the sueded towel. Hope this helps!

Question:	What drives come installed in the ts3410dn
Answer:	I'm not sure about the newer model, but my TS3400 came with Seagate drives rated for *desktop* usage, i.e. 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. With them running 24x7 (it's NAS, not a dekstop!) I had to replace all 4 drives before the 3 year warranty expired. I would suggest checking with Buffalo directly about this if you are seriously considering a purchase of the product.

Answer:	yeah pretty disgusting they use someone's copyright protected music for their video on Amazon and not even pay the cheap fee to use it from audiojungle. So basically if you want this drive to backup the music you write, just know this company clearly doesn't support musicians.
