Answer:	mine came in NTFS - but formatting this drive takes maybe a minute or so. No big deal at all.

Answer:	Yes you do. The SSD is formatted for the PC/windows. I formatted the drive on my Mac using disk utilities to the exFAT file format, so I can use It on both my PC and my Mac. If you are only going to use it on a Mac, you should consider it formatting to Apple’s newest file system APFS. But however you decided to format the ADATA, it only takes a few minutes, the SSD drive is VERY fast.
Question:	I’m switching from pc to a macbook pro. would this be a good device to help me transfer all my files
Answer:	Fyi, difficult to whether files will be compatible with MacOS since that depends on what those files are. Further, the drive would need to be configured for MacOS (newest Mac format - APFS, MacOS Extended [Journaled], Ex-FAT which is compatible with both MacOS and Windows). Given that this drive will be formatted for MacOS, files are data files vs. Windows or Windows compatible applications, you should be able to use this drive to transfer those files (again, data vs. Windows apps). Conversely, MacOS is far more capable of reading even some Windows and Windows compatible applications than Microsoft is in reading MacOS installed applications. Again, it's difficult to tell from your scant detail, what those files are and if they will be compatible with MacOS. Additionally, your Windows system will not "see", recognize or access a drive that is formatted in a MacOS protocol (APFS, MacOS Extended [Journaled]). For Window to access your new drive, that drive will need to be formatted as Ex-FAT to be read by Microsoft and MacOS.

Answer:	I use mine for Xbox One X and it does get a little warm. Mine sits right on top of the Xbox so I'm not sure if it's residual from the Xbox or if the ssd is getting hot. Theoretically I would assume it's the Xbox. But I have seen no loss in performance at all from the drive. Love it!

Answer:	Unless the SSD has an unusually high capacity (over 1TB), there's no reason it shouldn't work. My Kingston SSD is a cheapie.
