Answer:	Yes they are. Using 2 now in raid 0 on an MSI motherboard. Make sure to update the bios. Someplace in the Bios you'll find a PCIE setting that gives the option for 4x4x4x4 or 4x4. If missing then update.

Answer:	It should be. I got 4x Samsung 980 PRO 2TB in x4 mode in mine. The AMD TR CPU should have more than enough lanes available for you. Make sure you allocate the lanes properly in BIOS, if available. Do also keep in mind that this card is long... In case you have a water cooling setup / water reservoir that may interfere when the card is in the lower PCIe slots. Card length is similar to an NVidia 1080 FE / 2080 FE / 3080 FE.

Answer:	The controller has 4 channels. You can attach an HDD or SDD to each channel directly. If you need to connect more than 4 drives, then you need SAS HDD Expanders. For examples there are 2x4 or 2x6 expanders. For example, 2x6 expander uses two controller channels and allows connecting 6 drives.
