Question:	how much clearance above the fan do i need to be effective. It will be sitting on a receiver with a few other items in an enclosed cabinet/glass door
Answer:	I have mine with only about two inches of top clearance, and there is plenty of open space to the front and the rear of the cabinet. It keeps the receiver plenty cool even when running at higher power levels of audio. I have a 17" model that only has a half inch of top clearance, but it intakes from the front and exhausts to the rear. It keeps my 1973 Pioneer CD-4 Quadraphonic receiver very cool...and it's quiet too! Get the proper model, and they will cool almost any electronic equipment.

Question:	How do theze work in av racks? how much space is needed above the cooling fan
Answer:	The AIRCOM coolers are great for AV racks. The fan inlets on the T10 model are on the bottom and the outlets are on the front. So, no space is needed above the AIRCOM T10 for it to function as designed. In my case I have my Blu-ray player on top of the T10 and the T10 keeps both the AV receiver below the T10 and the Blu-ray player above the T10 cool (which is the whole purpose for the T10 in the first place).

Answer:	Yes it does. I have the 600t in white, this fan fits perfectly to replace the top exhaust fan. In terms of replacing the front intake fan it works but not like the oem fan due to the screw holes being on the side they are on. All you need to make it work are longer screws that can reach the screw holes on the fan.

Question:	What is the size of the hole that has to be cut in the cabinet
Answer:	The fan comes with a clear plastic template to guide you. Just tape it to the cabinet wall you are mounting the fan onto. The hole is about 5 inches square. The face/lip of the fan is about 5 3/4 inches square. You also must drill 4 holes for the mounting screws - also made easy using the template. For me, it took 10 minutes to hand-saw through the thin, paneling-like board backing of my entertainment cabinet. 10 minutes to mount the fan with 4 screws. It took 2 minutes to plug it into an unused USB port on my amplifier for fan power. Now, my whole 7 component system stays cool. After watching a movie, it took 15 minutes to clean up my mess.
Question:	Is it better to Mount where the Fan pulls out the Heat from the Cabinet or better to blow Air into Cabinet
Answer:	It's better to mount where it will pull the heat OUT, thereby bringing in cooler air unimpeded by other airflow inside the cabinet. If you blow air into the cabinet, it may not be able to exit as quickly and you would get air blowing back around the inside of the cabinet and impeding airflow into the cabinet. Think of it his way, if you blow into a paper cup with a fairly small hole in it, you can only "blow" so much air in and the rest comes back out at you. to avoid this potential problem, you will get the maximum airflow through the cabinet by pulling in air that is exhausted out by the fan.
Question:	How can I control when this turns on and off without having to upgrade to the model with a thermostat? If I plug it into my Yamaha receiver usb output

Answer:	Plug the GIM controller's 5V 3Pin plug into the 5V 3Pin header on your ASUS motherboard that is labeled "ADD_HEADER". Do not plug it into the header labeled "RGB_HEADER". Then press the button on the GIM remote labeled "M/B". That button will switch the ARGB sync between the motherboard AURA SYNC or the GIM controlled lighting effects. If you have multiple items to plug into the ADD_HEADER on your motherboard, you may want to use a splitter hub such as I do. Answer:	CFM=Cubic Feet Per Minute in this case take the outlet dimensions of the fan, convert them to feet (12"=1 ft), then multiply them to get Square feet, then divide the CFM/sq ft = the length of a rectangle of air that comes out of the fan every minute, if you could actually see it. you have to use your imagination. Because this fan has a speed control, the speed can be adjusted to 0 RPM. Zero RPM would be Zero CFM. The rotary speed control also has an "OFF" switch at the far counter-clockwise position. I have 3 of these fans; the included information does not specify what the MAXIMUM CFM rating is. The maximum amount of air flow is what would be expected from a squirrel cage fan of this size; its pretty decent. The primary advantage speed control function is for use in a situation when the maximum CFM output of the fan is not required; in short, the speed control allows the user to manually reduce the noise level of the fan to a point that it operates silently.
