Answer:	The hub works great for data transfer. Power supplied through the micro USB input will only supply power to the devices plugged into the hub. This would be good for external HDD's or SDD's. The external power will NOT charge the host device, i.e. the tablet, phone, or laptop, but at least the external power will reduce demand on the battery of the host device. I was really hoping that it would charge the tablet, but it won't.
