Answer:	Do you mean the compartments on the right? They are 7 inches wide. The front one is divided into three (approx. 2.3" sections). The middle is the full 7". The back is in two 3.5" sections. On the left the drawers are approx. 3.75" wide, 6.75" deep and just under 2" high. The shelf on top of the drawers is about an inch high.

The back compartments are deep enough for pens, and there is plenty of room for other office items in the drawers, compartments and top shelf!
