a. Insert cards correctly. SD and MS cards should be inserted upside down

b. Try with other card readers to check whether the card is broken, and if the pins of the card reader are bent accidentally. (Careful, pins of CF card could be very fragile.)

a. Make sure all connections are tight. Check if the LED shows red light, meaning power is going through as it is supposed to

b. Check the conditions of your cards and the USB ports of the computer to see if they are working properly

b. Dust accumulation may lead to poor connection. Wipe the ports with a dry pad

C. Try a different USB port of your PC. For desktop especially, USB ports on the back of the case are recommended

d. Reboot the device with/without the card reader connected

FAQ: The transferring process is slow

a. Transfer speed is also dependent on the cards. Some cards are not of high-speed feature. Please check the specs of your card. CF and MS cards are quite outdated. They do not support speed of USB 3.0. All card readers available on the market can only get to the speed of USB 2.0 for them

b. Some devices have both 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports. Please make sure you are plugging the card reader into a USB 3.0 port

c. Functioning environment affects read & write speed (full disc storage, obsolete OS system, too many software running at the same time, use of additional intermediates like hub or adapter, etc.)

Answer:	I think it does, but I would not count on it being very good with a cheaper safe. This safe is very “cost effective” so it’s probably not a fantastic fire rating.
Question:	Does this read the panasonic p2 card
Answer:	To some degree I’m sure it is, as most safes are. The more expensive typically means a better fire rating. This safe is not very expensive.

Answer:	It says that it is, fortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to test it. Most safes are, but the level of fire safety seems to increase with the price. More expensive, more safe.
Question:	Can this read a card slow enough for my grandmas birthday
Answer:	I am not sure we’re you can get parts mine did not have a set button on the bottom safe so I asked for it to be replaced

Answer:	no it only shows up as one drive no matter how many cards you insert in to the device. the card slots and the USB ports can be used at the same time though

Answer:	No, this is NOT USB 3.0. The ports on the hub itself may be 3.0, but the controller inside the hub is not. The PC won't even recognize it when plugged into a USB 3.0 port.
