Answer:	I have an earlier, non-programmable version which I purchased from Amazon in 2003 and it still works like new. I am actually right-handed, but I have always used it with my left hand because that placement is perferable to me. I have used it on both mac and linux operating systems. In either case, it is simple to configure for the left.

Answer:	I'm running Debian Stable (Ubuntu is based on Debian), and tracking/clicking worked right out of the box, including the "forward" and "back" buttons. Answer:	In addition to the Setpoint software made by Logitech, I also installed a small program called "MarbleScroll". You can get it here with instructions from its creator: http://www.fewprojects.com/marblescroll-for-logitech-trackman-marble/. Works flawlessly. However, note that there doesn't seem to be an option to have it stay on after restarting your pc, but you can set it up to be part of your pc's startup routine. Easy to Google and do it yourself. After that, the product is perfect.

Question:	How do you scroll with the Orbit Wireless Mobile Trackball
Answer:	There is a touch pad on both sides of the trackball that you swipe up or down to scroll. The positioning of the touch pads make it so I can use this mouse with either hand. The only caution I have is that you do not touch the top of the mouse while you are operating the trackball. I have small hands, so when using the trackball with my right hand, I usually put my thumb on the left button, my index finger on the track ball, the middle finger above the touch pads on the mouse where it can easily be put to use on scroll pad, and my ring finger on the right button. I invert this position when I am using my left hand.
Question:	Would you please tell me the length,width and depth. Also from the size from the wrist area to the ball. Thank you
Answer:	Depth = 1 1/2", Legnth approx 4", width = 3 1/2" down to 3 1/4", Wrist area to ball is approx 3". It works well, though is only prefers batteries with a stronger strength to them.
Question:	Has anyone figured out how to disable the scroll ring? I don't see how to do it in TrackBallWorks. maybe a device modification
Answer:	The scroll ring sensor can be disconnected with a few minutes work. Switch off the trackball device and push out the red trackball. I removed the batteries. With a tiny, thin screwdriver pry up the sensor ring (the flat black ring around the red trackball when it's installed). The sensor ring is one fairly sturdy piece. Take your time, attacking at several points, using more than one screwdriver, and you will get the sensor ring out. I did it without scratching the trackball device. At the front of the sensor ring is a ribbon cable. Pull the ribbon cable out of the sensor ring cable connector, fold the cable up and stick it down into the trackball body, then reassemble. It looks and works great. Wear safety glasses! You assume all liabilty for your actions; this is an information-only story how I did it. I like the track ball a lot now that it no longer causes random stuff to happen at random times. If you have mini security allen wrenches for disassembly, you can take the bottom off and likely reach the other end of the cable.
Question:	Is there a way to get scroll click or middle click results with this mouse
Answer:	Yes, definitely. I configured mine to perform middle-click whenever I press both the left and right buttons simultaneously. I had to download Kensington' Trackball Works driver software to get this functionality in Windows 8.1.

Question:	How well does it work with Linux
Answer:	I'm using it with Linux right now, and everything works pretty much as expected. I'm using the Unifying Receiver on a Fedora 28 desktop with X and Bluetooth on a Fedora 29 Beta laptop with Wayland. Everything works on the laptop, and everything but horizontal scrolling works on the desktop. I'm not sure if the difference is X versus Wayland or Unifying Receiver versus Bluetooth. Solaar reports the battery status and easily let me pair it with the unifying receiver I already had on the same machine. It lists two buttons that it doesn't recognize, which I think must correspond to the DPI select button and device switch button. Those work, though, so I don't really care that they don't show in Solaar. Bluetooth also reports accurate battery status in the Gnome control center.
Question:	Does the mx ergo have the super fast, gearless “freely spinning” wheel like the mx masters
Answer:	Nope. It has a cogging mechanism and only recognizes changes between the indents.
Question:	Does this have the same crappy microswitches that will cause click failures in mere weeks for which your M570 is infamous
Answer:	I use mine (M570) for graphic design 8-12 hours a day and yes, IT DOES INDEED HAVE CLICK FAILURE. At one time I had one of our IT staff take it apart and make adjustments to the switches, but the problem came back again in a few weeks. REALLY frustrating when trying to drag and drop objects in a layout, or draw, or even getting a consistent smooth performance for merely highlighting text. It's a legit concern. I need to replace my M570 and am looking at the MX ERGO for the very same reason, but the $100 price tag seems hard to justify.
Question:	What does the mx ergo have or do that is worth $60 more than the m570? just a magnetic hinge and rechargeable battery
Answer:	Yes, yes, and yes!!! I didn't not buy this from Amazon because I wanted to get this right away. I went to Best Buy and got it. I have used the M570 and it was quite good. I had an older keyboard so first upgraded to ergo k860, OMG!!!! what a difference.... then I thought I should try the vertical mouse first. Returned this on the next day. Then I looked at the Logitech Master MX 3 because it had the most features..... Returned this to the next day because once you go a trackball, you won't be back to a regular mouse. Then, before I decided to try MX Ergo, I thought I should just keep m570 because it was better than the first two: vertical mouse and mx master mx3 but then I thought it wouldn't be fair to not try MX Ergo. I AM GLAD, I DID!!! your wrist is going to be thanking you for years!!! Love it! The programmable features are awesome! I work from home and this is must to have nowadays.

Answer:	Only compatible with standard definition receivers like the D12, R16, H20 thru H24. Also note that if you have an H25 HD receiver or Genie, these receivers are only SWM compatible (you will need a SlimLine SWM dish) and will not work with a standalone 18" round dish.

Answer:	No, the pipe is too small. It requires 2" outer diameter mast. You can use a pipe adapter instead of buying a new tripod if it won't hold a 2" OD pole.

Answer:	The RG6 coaxial cable is sold separately and does not come with it. I recommend Solid Copper Core conductor RG6 cable with compression connectors on each end.

I'm using a three monitor setup as I write this, but I had to buy (2) of the adapters, plus I ran one monitor straight to my laptop. The general rule is one adapter per screen; with the caveat that monitors you can run straight into your laptop don't need an adapter.

Answer:	I did not measure it, but my guess is that it is around four feet long. I got the trackball for health reasons (wrist, carpal tunnel issues). So I had never even taken the plastic twist off the trackball until you asked the question.

Answer:	Middle click is two at the same time. Given dexterity, it can be awkward. The scroll ring is only a ring. Applications define its smoothness. Some are jumpy.
Question:	How do the buttons feel when clicked? Are they too stiff? Do your thumb gets tired after a long period of use
Answer:	I was previously using a Logitech Marble Mouse trackball which has a much lighter click action than this unit. The overly heavy button springs are my only complaint with the Kensington. My thumb has gotten stronger in the time I have been using it, but long periods of game play do make it quite sore. In conclusion, I like the Logitech for game play and the Kensington for web browsing. Older users will have more trouble adjusting than younger ones.
Question:	Do you have to put too much force on the left button while dragging? Do you have to put your hand in a awkward position to do it
Answer:	Hi, It's more in the pressure it takes to click the button (switch), Most of my mouses and trackballs have hair pin buttons meaning it doesn't take much pressure or finger muscles to click. This one is pronounced, it takes more pressure which over the period of time this adds up. I would send it back if it wasn't more trouble than it was worth to do so. I got it so I could train my left hand to use it. It sits in the closet now.
