You don't even have to buy this Plasticine kit to use the app --- but I do recommend this kit. It's lots of fun and easy to use (I use it own my own to play around (59 yo grandma with an interest in animation) and easy to help my 4 and 2 yo grandchildren make 'movies'.

Answer:	Hi Jeani,To answer your question directly - no remote is included, (or needed). You create animations by clicking a button which captures a movie frame in the animation software. This prevents the camera from moving around and creating a shaky image while you work. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Yes, the software can be used with any camera that sends a video feed to your computer, such as USB webcams, etc.

Answer:	As long as you are able to access and download the app associated with it, you should be able to use it.
Question:	Could you use a standard camera or video camera? We dont have an ipad/ipod and dont really want my 9 year old to use my android phone
Answer:	The props and background are sized to work with the mini figures. The full sized figures are too big. It's their way of forcing you to buy the mini figures. My son has a lot of the full size figures and they are just too big. My son has had some fun with this, but unfortunately they don't sell any extra props so you are stuck with what they give you in the kit, which isn't much.

Answer:	The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Answer:	Yes, you can. (And you can buy a decent Android "phone" for about $20 that would work just fine for this).She can use a standard camera to take individual shots. Remember, it takes 30(!!) photos per SECOND of video! If she's okay with jerky motion, you can go down to 15 frames per second, or even 10. One of the advantages of the app is that it has a "ghost" image of the previous frame so you can much more easily line up the next part of the motion. Please don't underestimate the importance of that feature. The vast majority of digital cameras don't offer this option.In short, the answer is YES. The return question for you is, should she use the app on a cheap Android instead?

Question:	Can this work with an ipad
Answer:	I think you would be able to use any picture colored with the markers provided, so far we have only tried the design book that came with it. But again, we have not been able to do much with it because the imagine is always flipped upside down on my iPad.
