Our original remote was dropped too many times and stopped working and this one worked right out of the box once batteries were installed. Just make sure your TV model # is on the compatibility list. I don’t think the WiFi password has any bearing on the remote working, but the remote should enable you to scroll through the setup options so you can change the password.

Answer:	The cord will fit as long the connections are the same. The wires inside the cord can handle up to 10a without overheating. This cord won't cause damage, it's when people replace the "adaptor" that this cord plugs into with one that is the incorrect size. The adaptor BTW is actually a transformer so if you got the original you'll be fine
