Answer:	When I bought mine I was very surprised at how rugged it is the bow in the sides are made of the same material like a zodiac inflatable boat very thick and stout the bottom is also good material. I drugged mine not for a long time but over rocks sticks and no punctures. That's not to say I would drag it a quarter mile down the road but it is very rugged very well made. Answer:	Technically the specification states the maximum load as 250 lbs. However, my wife and I exceed that by at least 100 lbs and there didn't seem to be any issues. If you search You Tube for "Travels with Yoly" and then find a video called "Blackwater River - Part 2 - Kayak Trip" you can see it in action.

Answer:	I own both kayaks and I would rather go with the explore to kayak, the reason is the Explorer - is self bailing has better seats that raise you out of the water in the bottom of the boat has an upturned nose to keep water from splashing you paddles are better quality. I have taken the explorer down a class 3 river the cabarrton river in Idaho with no problems. Take the skeg off if you do rivers, will just cause you problems if you dont, mainly you will loose it. Only use tue skeg in lakes or ponds.

Answer:	Navionics Gold Compatible from what the Hummingbird site says, meaning you can put the Navionics cards in this unit for the extra chart info and capabilities but in typical Navionics form, they rake you over the coals for it. The Uni-map base maps are quite good from what I have seen from playing around with it in the west central Florida area. Your area may vary because of the amount of info that has been collected on it. One thing to point out is the Base maps here are better than most base maps other companies offer and there is no need to buy the uber expensive map cards from Navionics for your average weekend fisherman or pleasure boater. The Navionics stuff is very specialized....My experience level: 5 years as a Marine Electronics installer and Business owner for 10 years, Raymarine, Garmin, NEMA KVH Certs and 3 FCC Electronics operation and repair licenses.

Answer:	Some scotch bright or some cotton cloth quiets it down a bit. Also keeping it lubricated properly reduces the noise. Personally on mine I did a makeshift muffler with some old steel wool.

How to use the Sonar Sensor:

1. Toss the sensor and float into the water;

2. Attach the Side-Scan Adapter to the boat hull using the mounting tabs;

3. Attach the sensor to a handle, lower the sensor into the water.

Attention:

1. It will turn off automatically if the depth display reads "---" continuously for 5 minutes.

2. The transmitter is waterproof, but the receiver (unit with screen) is not waterproof, so please do not submerge or spray the fish finder screen with water.

3. It can not be used to detect bait fish(motionless) or fish that is smaller than 10cm.

4. When use this fish finder on moving boat, please make sure the moving speed is slowly (lower than 5 mph).
