Answer:	While the hot shoe mount will fit in the ring, it may not position your camera in the center of the ring. For example, the center of the lens of my Nikon D3200 would be 3 3/8 inches below the center of the ring. In addition you would not have any adjustment in and out for camera balance. I would recommend something like the "OrangeTag 1 X 7 Inch Articulating Magic Friction Arm for Hot Shoe" also available on Amazon.

Question:	On a dodge caravan, how did you run the wire the length of the van without it showing
Answer:	I installed on a pickup truck. Attached the camera to the license plate and got power from the tail lights. Ran the video wire under the bed protection to the cab; followed the truck's diver to the door, and into the overlap of the interior door frame panel. Followed the path inside the panels to the dash, and mounted the monitor on the dash. Got power to monitor by wiring from switch under the dash and into the interior panels. The interior panels are just screw on, so loosen those and tuck the wires in.

Answer:	There are two ways to wire the camera. One is to piggy back off of the backup lights and the other is to wire to an accessory. If it is wired to an accessory it will always be on when the key is on.
