| Answer: | I haven't had to return, used 2 months 1 1/2 tanks Kerosene and #1 diesel . This unit is sold by a number of companies but you might want to check Thermoheat RMC-KFA125TL . Exact same unit by same company (RMC) but black and often cheaper, name and color only difference,sold by Sams Club at one time. I bought one on Amazon (not offered by the seller now) which was sold under Dyna Glo name and model but was a Thermoheat paid total of $249.00 . Parts and repair work shouldn't be a problem, good PDF down loadable manual online shows maintanence, parts etc.. This company makes several brand name heaters of this type. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | I copied this answer from my owners booklet - For optimal performance of this heater, it is strongly suggested that 1-K kerosene be used. 1-K kerosene has been refined to virtually eliminate contaminants, such as sulfur. Which can cause a rotten egg odor during the operation of the heater. However, #1 diesel/fuel oil may also be used if 1-K kerosene is not available. Be advised that these fuels do not burn as clean as 1-K kerosene, and care should be taken to provide more fresh air ventilation to accommodate any added contaminants that may be added to the heated space |

The smell could be from other fumes or products in the air that the stove burns, (like paint fumes). I have used one for over 30 years no problem. Only if I paint or have some other fumes in the do I get a different odor. |
