Answer:	Well, if you want to drop them to a 2ohm load, you'll need to of them with dual 4ohm voice coils. You should probably counsolt your local car audio professional before attempting. But all the VD subwoofers can handle a 1ohm load

Answer:	Do not listen to anyone who says you can damage a speaker by "under-powering" it. If you are listening to music at very low volumes you are not damaging your equipment and are only sending a couple of Watts or less to the drivers. Driver damage comes from trying to pull more power from your amp than it can safely deliver driving it to clipping the output signal (assuming the input signal is not already clipped). So yes your 500 Watt max power (Likely 250 Watts RMS) will still power the speaker just fine, it just might not get as loud as you'd like.

We also added a 1.0 Farad Capacitor which is probably considered old school by today's installation practices, but it works and the punch from the Sub does not cause dimming of the lights and doesn't get hot. It was a great match up and now for over 6 months has performed very well. We also used a 600 Watt Sony Mono Amplifier as it match the spec's for the sub. Mind you, we don't push the sub hard like others may do... This sub and enclosure combo isn't made to do that, but it does give a pretty decent punch when demanded by the music being played. If you want a lot of punch then consider a different sub enclosure

Answer:	The smaller the impedance of the speaker, the greater the power produced by an equivalent signal from the amplifier. A 4-ohm speaker will absorb twice as much power as an 8-ohm speaker, as long as they have the same signal level as the amplifier. 2 ohm against 4 ohm If the amplifier is set to drive a 2 ohm speaker, it will produce more acoustic power. If the amplifier is designed for 4 ohm speakers only, there is a risk that the amplifier will be damaged if a 2 ohm speaker is used. The main application of the 2 ohm speakers is in the woofers and subwoofers (those bass speakers).

Answer:	Be careful not to blow it cuz sub is only about 4-500 rms.. I had 1 on a 1200.1D hifonics and went ahead and bought a 2nd to run so amp can get to full potential out of amp.

Answer:	I can’t think of a reason it wouldn’t work. I run a boss 1500 and it sounds great so as long as your EQ and tune are good you’ll be fine.

Answer:	They would hold up fine. Since these subs are dual 4ohm you could run three of them at 8ohms and the fourth at 2 ohms, and if you ran them all parallel after that it would bring your final impedance down to 1.14ohms.

Answer:	I replaced my factory sub with this mb quartz on my 2002 gmc yukon xl. Its a longer vehicle than yours but i think the configuration/sub enclosure is the same or very similar. The great thing about this mb quartz is it's thin profile (not deep at all) allowing it to insert and fit perfectly into the factory sub enclosure. I did have to drill a few new holes around the sub enclosure for the mountings screws that mount the mb quartz. Speaker itself sounds great. Good bass.

Answer:	I don’t know what your air space is in that particular box. Mine was .95 I added 1/2 # of poly fill to each chamber and I’m running an MTX 1200 mono, and she hits hard. You’ll definitely need to do an alternator upgrade and the big 3 wire upgrade if you haven’t already done that.
