Answer:	Since music book come in various sizes I will say that if the music book is the size of a standard magazine (8x11), it will fit horizontally. Any larger then probably not.

Answer:	They may be talking about the handles. They are pretty wide to where you can carry the bag as a back pack.....if you like carrying a bunch of weight strapped to your back. You can also carry the bag using the handles on your shoulder. We use a portable hand cart though

Answer:	No, it fits Teles and Strats. I tried to put a Jagmaster in it as a test to answer your question. The Jag was a little too wide. Guitarfetish.com has Jag cases with slight blems in their clearance section for low prices listed as JT series cases. Otherwise there's Gator, etc. here at amazon. Good luck!
