| Answer: | Yes! These actually have a good range well into the mid-bass area. I've used many of the 6" 8" and 10" versions in custom 2-way configurations and they sound awesome! I typically use two decent tweeters (NEVER piezo), two 2-way crossovers, and one of these in the middle using the dual voice coil to handle both the left and right lows. (Note that if used in this type of 3-speaker configuration, the DVC must be located between the tweeters to preserve the stereo soundstage.) I usually make my pieces (it's a hobby) as stand-alone Bluetooth units with 100-200 watt amps, and they get very loud and maintain great bass punch (enclosure must be rigid). Best of all, I've used about 30 of these over the last few years, and none of them have blown or gone bad. |

| Answer: | If "free air" means no box, then no, it won't work very well as a sub-woofer. If you mean a ported enclosure, then yes it will work well. A ported enclosure will give it a "boomey" kind of sound, which is fine for some types of music like hip- hop or metal. A sealed enclosure will make the bass sound tighter which is better for other types of music. The sealed enclosure will also require more power to drive the sub. Mine gets 100 watts continuous and I have used both types of enclosures. I'm skeptical about that 600 watt rating. |

| Answer: | if your refering to a amplifier at 1100 watts its ok to use however you just want to make sure you don't turn it up pass the speakers power handling point or your will damage the speaker it self. you also want to look at how many watts your amp kicks out in (RMS). THAT WOULD BE THE TRUE POWER WATTAGE. OH AND MAKE SURE YOUR 1100 MONBLOCK IS COMPATABLE WITH 4OHM SPEAKERS AS WELL. remember any time you have a amp or reciever that is higher than the speaker power handling and the ohm capability matches you can use. just dont turn it full max because the amp kicks out more power than the speaker can handle which is good i would say because that insures you will get the best sound provided the speaker is a quality speaker to began with |

So the answer depends on how much of the 2100 watts is being pushed through the speaker in question. 2100 watts (full power) would destroy the voice coil in this case. |
