| Answer: | Tristan let me tell you I've had these in the 12" and 15" and the speaker will blow your mind. I have a single 12" mofo in my dodge ram single cab now and people turn their heads when I'm on the roads. They're great subs if your getting two wire them series parallel. Positive to negative and negative to positive then run your wiring to the box terminal to the amp. I always use 10 Guage wiring order yourself some it's the b3st you can use in my opinion. But anyways your running a 6000 watt amp so run your subs down to 2 ohms each. |

| Answer: | Well im still runing mine on the hifonics 3016.1 @1ohm. They work but when you increase wattage on these with upper bass heavy songs you smell voice coil. I've found 40hz and up they get hot. My mofos are still working great but im going to upgrade to something with at least a 3 inch voice coil. These take the power i give them(as much as my electrical will allow) with decent amperage but i know im not pushing the full 3000 watts give or take. I seriously doubt they will handle 3k |

When the amp starves for current it will get hot and possibly fail.
The protection light indicates incorrect installation in most cases. In addition to input current: The output circuit must show a minimum 1 Ohm load (and no lower during use) to avoid driving the product into protection. Continuously driving the product into protection causes excessive heat, and will shorten the product’s lifespan.
In this consumer’s case: Professional installation may be warranted to obtain correct functionality and lifespan. The product is robust and reliable when used as directed.
