Answer:	Yes, Foscam FI9928P is 4x optical zoom. Have had it installed about 2 weeks now and works great. Need to turn IR off for night time color, otherwise its black and white. Night time range is pretty good but not the full 196ft they claim.

Answer:	The Seller answered this question wrong! Reading the manual which has a typo reads : Operating Temperature -20ºC ~ 60ºC (-4ºC ~ 140ºC) Should read : -20degC to 60degC = (- 4 deg F to 140 deg F ). I live in Anchorage Alaska. I have owned 2 High Speed 1080p Tracking dome cameras. The first lasted over a year then froze when defrosters failed. 2nd cam defrosters failed after 10 months both Cams are rated for -35 deg F. These are rate for -35F. This Foscam wont make Alaska temp @ -4deg F. My defrosters in my Imporx or Sunba Tracking cams (which both brands are basically same Chinese Cameras) burn up and fail after 5 months of very cold weather (20 deg F to -32 deg F) . I have a Sunba high speed dome in backyard (Looks like big smiley face) that has no tracker option and for some reason has lasted over 2 years running 24/7. That is why I am scrutinizing this camera, I wanted one that is rated for -72 deg F, But I am 99.9% shure the seller is wrong answering this question after reading the manual to this camera.

Question:	does the camera allow playback and download on PC
Answer:	Yes. There are several ways to save and playback recorded videos. I use Blue Iris which is a third party program to manage my cameras. It is not free, but it also is not horribly expensive. I also have Foscam VMS. You can designate where the files are stored on these programs. I also have a memory card in each camera and I save the recordings to the memory card so I have it in two places should someone steal my computer.

Answer:	Yes, but the new software, VMS, could install on PC, no plug-in require.

Answer:	Not exactly sure what you are asking. you can pan down to look straight down, directly underneath the camera.
Question:	Does it have to use the Ethernet cable
Answer:	Well it is wireless, and it has a wifi setup option but it usually needs the cable only to set it up for the first time. NOTE: this cam doesn't have built in speaker nor mic, if you want these features you have to buy an external outdoor mic and speaker. I had them wired to the cam but I couldn't get the speaker to work for some reason. It's better if you download the manuel from foscam website to make sure it meets your expectations. It's not an cheep purchase, but it is worth it.

Answer:	I don't see a problem mounting it under an eve. Do you mean 90 degree looking down? That would work, but you may not see a whole lot. I had my husband hold the camera at the mounting position first to make sure that I got the view I wanted before mounting and that worked well.

Answer:	I've setup 3 of these cameras in a test environment to ensure solid connectivity. I'm using a newer R8500 NetGear router with standard antennas and no issues as of 2 weeks of testing. I have them at least 50ft from the router using a single 3amp power supply split 3 ways thru 50 foot long extension cables. Again, zero connectivity issues!

Answer:	2.4 is still N, unless its right on top of your wireless router or AP 5ghz is useless, since most cheap routers have the same throughput on 5ghz as 2.4 you might as well use 2.4 which has farther range and goes through walls better.

Question:	How long is the included power cable
Answer:	Hi Carl:I didn't measure it but I think about 12 feet. I drilled a small hole through my roof into my garage and extended the power supply with an extension cord into the garage. Then I sealed the hole with a rubber patch and silicone. Works fine. Unfortunately I can't point the camera at my house so I have it pointed into the cul-de-sac and look down the street. It would be nice if it had a battery pack so I could mount it on the public light pole and point it to my house. Camera works fine and had for about 8 monts so far.

Answer:	1280x720 resolution. These are HD cameras, so be careful because if too many frames per second, can really slow down your network. I have 2 of these an love them. Also has sound if you use an external mic.

Answer:	Yes, you will be able to view via web browser. It also has a built in email server so you can use the motion detection option to email you 6 still shots when motion is detected. I use an app called Surveillance Pro on my iPhone to remotely view.

Answer:	Differences between 05W and 04W.Physical:05W is wider with a detachable hood, more LED's for night vision, but similar in all other physical features. Same cord, connections, and antenna as the 04W.Performance05W appears to be clearer with higher resolution, but is not as wide of view as the 04W. You would want the 04W for a front door cam, close up area, or top down view over an entrance, and the 05W for a larger area such as a long hallway, yard, driveway, etc. The set up is identical for both.
