When you approach your car with the remote on you the car senses it and allows you to open the doors and start the car with out a key. This is important for the battery because, unless you disable it, the car transponder runs constantly and you need a deep discharge battery. It is recommended that you disable smart key if you are parking longer than a couple days to avoid depleting the 12 volt battery. The disable switch is on the dash below the steering column. Answer:	The battery I received was a pc680-p through Amazon itself. Other companies that sell through amazon may be selling old batteries but these type of batteries have a long shelf / standby life. I currently have an odyssey battery that is 12 years old and still going. The battery was sitting for over a year before I got it according to its stamped date.

Answer:	Yes, mine came with the appropriate spacers for my particular form factor. I have a 2001 f-150 and I am sure glad it came with the spacers because I had to use one of them to get it to fit. I comes in a box with the spacer inside of it. So as far as the spacers go, Optima thought of everything! I am very pleased with the product!

Answer:	Mine came fully charged, my vehicle indicates 12.0V (engine not running) and ~13.8 to 14.0V (engine running). I keep this vehicle hooked up to a Deltran Battery Tender and it did not take too long for the Battery Tender to register Green (fully charged) once hooked up (~a few hours or so).

Answer:	It's 36 months through Optima. Unlike going back to the parts store what you have to do is file a claim with Amazon customer service. They do all the leg work from there. So here is the issue you have to decide if it's worth it or not. It can take a week between customer service contact, optima approves, new battery received. Can you make it a week without a battery??I have only seen one issue with an Optima battery back when I worked at a marine dealer. We sold a hundred or so a year (was there 2-1/2 years). Mine is only a couple months old, but I did accidentally kill it installing amps, subs, stereo, and it recharged and has no issues. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Wired in series gives you 12vdc. Wired in parallel gives you 6vdc with more current. My scissor lift uses 4, 6vdc batteries wired in series to get 24vdc at 200 amps.

Answer:	I have the 6 volt version in my 1952 Chevrolet Hardtop. The battery will fit in the battery box at an angle. It is longer than the standard GM battery but much narrower, therefore you can angle it in the box and support the hold-down at the opposite corners and it will work fine. I had my Optima for 6 years in my Chevy.

Answer:	Hi BrianI measured my battery roughly using a cheap tape but here goes. I measured the height of the plastic casing at approx. 7 1/4 by 10 inch long and 3 1/2 inch wide but from the bottom of the case to the top of the post is approx. 8 1/8 inches. Strange enough this battery would lie flat on it side in the battery tray with the posts towards the engine in my 40 Ford. I could stack two of them on their side if I had the right cable hook up. Nice battery, small for the standard tray but has decent power and holds its charge very well just sitting in garage 6 months. Hope this helped somewhat.Wayne
