Answer:	They're pretty much all the same. There are some devices (cameras, etc.) which do NOT have the quarter inch, 20 threads per inch socket on them. Usually "pro" equipment has a three-eighths, 16 TPI socket. So unless your device is really expensive, chances are really, really good this is what you need.

Answer:	This bag was made for a tripod and it works very well. It's called a rock bag, I fill a plastic bag with rocks, dirt, even food cans. it keeps my tripod very stable. Using it on a light stand would be a problem due to the pole in the middle. I would look at getting a sand bag instead. Do a Amazon search for sand bags, there are plenty that will work for you. good luck.

Answer:	I use on my Stone Bag under an outdoor easel. It attaches to the tripod (which is essentially a camera tripod) and I put painting supplies in it. So I'm not sure how much weight it's suppose to hold, but it would definitely hold a couple of bricks.

Answer:	I just received this exact bag (waiting on my SLIK U-212D to arrive), and filled it out with compressed foam peanuts. The interior seems to measure exactly 24.5" by 4.25" by 5".I'm hoping the bag will take the 27" collapsed length* of U-212D I ordered, by pushing each end out of 'dead flat' relaxed position by 1.25". If it does fit, then it will be pushing it to the max.* I originally though the 'shortest' length (24.8") meant 'collapsed' length (27") for the U-212D. I'm hoping they are going to be slightly off in my favor.

Answer:	The straps are velcro'd on right above the hinges so it does not fall off. It can hold quite a bit but I do wish the pouches were deeper.
