I believe the limit is due to the FAT32 filesystem - the standard filesystem for SDHC cards 32G and smaller - having a max file size of 4GB, so numerous files are required. Check the card - if that 5 minute clip is about 4GB in size, there's your answer. 64GB and larger SDXC cards use exFAT filesystem, which doesn't have that 4GB/file limit. |
