• 1. Please mount the microphone on the camcorder hot shoe position, insert the 3.5mm mic interface cable into the camcorder by the 1 to 2 mini USB/MIC adapter.

Answer:	there is no HDMI port. the camera comes with an audio plug (that plugs into the camera) attached to RCA plugs, which you can plug into the back of an HDTV. I've tried that and it works well. To plus into your computer, there is a mini usb plug for the camera that is attached to a standard USB plug for your computer.

Answer:	Yes you can use something like a REDEYE .65x wide angle adapter. It needs to have a 67mm thread with it. The REDEYE lens is made in Canada, and is a much better option then the cheap Chinese lenses which are widely available. You will definitely want a high quality glass lens. This camera only goes to like 29mm on it's wide side, so a wide lens adapter might be a good idea to have with it. 16X9 inc, Century, also make quality glass,but are more pricey then the nice one I found on a big auction site. If you can find a quality lens for under $300, it would be good for your kit. Also the REDEYE has a very protective padded leather lens pouch that ships with it.
Question:	can this camera use the 4:2:2 color space, for professional broadcast
Answer:	Uh, "XAVC-S uses 4.2.0." What??? The term XAVC-S has NOTHING to do with subsampling. It's just a container, or wrapper. XAVC-S is a Sony proprietary wrapper. The codec is H.264, which of course allows for 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 depending on the recording circuitry. The circuitry and firmware in THIS PARTICULAR CAMERA only records 4:2:0 in 4k resolution up to 100Mb/s which it then "delivers" via H.264 wrapped in MP4 along with LPCM audio. But 4:2:2 or even 4:4:4 CAN be coded in H.264, using different circuitry and firmware. That has NOTHING to do with "XAVC-S." In any case, you don't necessarily "need" to SHOOT in 4:2:2 unless you are doing a lot in post, like chromakey or color processing. If you can "upsample" to 4:2:2 (usually by "downscaling" to 1080p) with software (like Premiere Pro,) then your output can be more or less 10-bit "4:2:2." That's called "broadcast quality" because no TV or monitor is perfectly calibrated to the one you're editing on--so, 10-bit (1024 levels) color provides an ample range for any given 8-bit (256 level) TV to fall into. In other words, "broadcast quality" only means "wiiiide safety margin" so far as color sampling information goes. That dates back to NTSC analog color TV--broadcast 4 times as much color information than the viewer's TV can display, so that his 4:2:0 TV will be able to catch enough color signal to still get what he will see as a "good" picture. Even in UHD digital TV, on average, 4:2:2 1080p looks "better" to the human eye than 4:2:0 4K unless the viewer is sitting with his nose touching a 65" screen) for the same reason--calibration of the display (which can vary from one area of the screen to another, let alone from one TV to another.)

Question:	I want to record my band can I record audio too off my mixerboard
Answer:	I had terrible results with that. I am using a Yamaha mixer straight into the camera. I am recording loud electric guitars. The VU meter on the camera is so crude as to be pretty useless. No matter how I set the VU meter or the master on the mixer, the audio would come out distorted badly. Nothing I tried worked. That was my main reason for buying the camera was to use a mixer to use two mics to record a speaker cab. I sent the camera back, the results were just too crude and useless. I ended up buying an upscale Panasonic UX180 that has stereo XLR inputs, a fully manageable recording system in camera with separate audio dials for each channel. My mixer works perfectly with it so I get video and audio on my SD cards to dump straight into Final Cut ProX, works like a dream. I simply could not find another camera that had professional audio recording capabilities using a mixer. Answer:	It will be about as good as a new iPhone. The lens is pretty good in low light. It has infrared mode for shooting in complete darkness, but the subject needs to be within 10 feet or so.

Answer:	The width of the quick release plate of this ball head is 44mm, and we have sent an EXTRA quick release plate. That is to say, you can get TWO quick release plates when you buy this ball head. The 37mm wide quick release plate can barely be used.
Question:	Is this a good size for a monopod? I'm looking to support a Sigma 150-600mm without the head being too obtrusive
Answer:	With a super-telephoto lens like you are planning to use, this ball head is substantial enough to support it well. I would not go any smaller. I suspect that the base will fit your monopod unless you have a really small platform on top.

Wide-angle Lens

Install the wide angle lens to shoot a larger area of the scene in a short range of shooting distance and ensure clear image with great depth of focus. The super wide angle lens can be widely used for big scenery, such as buildings, landscapes.

Note: The lens needs to be mounted on the camera via the adapter ring (the ring package included).

The "Lens Adapter" it is installed first, then takes to the “Wide-angle Lens”.

The wide-angle lens is mainly used for long-range shooting, the macro lens for close up shots)

External Microphone

The microphone adopts X-Y stereo pickup technology, clear and stable sound image localization. Built-in low cut filter switch for effective ambient low frequency noise reduction. Install on the camera or DSLR to pick up high quality sound video. It can be used as web-microphone as well.

Note: The external microphone only fits on KOT 4K camcorder.

LED Video Light

HD camcorder perfect fits the dark view or night in LED video light, softly light and never dazzling to make sure both static and dynamic objects, nice helper in improve the quality of your shots.

The brightness is adjustable with two gears for different scenes.

4K UHD Resolution & 16X Digital Zoom

Recording While Charging

The camera comes with 2 rechargeable batteries to provide sufficient power and it can be charged by travel charger. For long-endurance recording, it supports recording while charging by standard adapter indoors or mobile power supply outdoors (the mobile power does not include).

Infrared Night Vision

The IR night vision function can help you take normal videos and photos when you’d like to record in darkness such as indoor scenes or nightscapes or when the light intensity is insufficient. IR image is black and white.

Note: The IR light will increase the usage of battery.

Copy files & HDMI Output

Connect the Camera to the TV: Set the TV signal source as HD and enter into this mode, then insert the HDMI cable into the camera and TV port separately.

Connect the Camera to the Computer: insert the USB cable into the camera and computer port separately.

Use the Function as PCCAM (Webcam)

Switch on camera power, connect it with computer by USB cable attached, press the camera “MODE” button to switch into the “PC CAM” mode, open the “AMCAP”, then you can use the camera as the webcam. Note: Download the software “AMCAP” on the Internet first before using the PC CAM function.

Support MAX 128G SD/TF Card (not included)

The camera supports SD memory card. You need input and format memory card before use the camera and please push the write-protect switch on the card to the top of the SD memory card to cancel the write-protect.

Note: Kindly backup the data before format. Please format the memory card through the camera if it is new or was used by other digital camera / video.

Question:	Can accessories be mounted to it like a bide camera or is just a handle
Answer:	Yes, those screw holes on the top and sides of the handle are designed to accept mounting brackets 1/4 and 3/8 inch for adding accessories. There is also another shoe-mount at the top end where you can mount a light or mic.

Answer:	My unit fits snug, but I would still tighten it up.

Answer:	I don't have the Sony A7. This handle does fit my Nikon and Pentax cameras. Supposedly, the handle fits all DSLR hotshoes. Since the Sony A7 series are not DSLRs, I would suggest you contact the maker for further info.
