Answer:	You can open it up and remove the piezo buzzer, just did it today. Now the toaster works just like it did before but no annoying beep. Opening the toaster is easy enough, but getting enough clearance to put a knife blade under the buzzer was a challenge because of the angle involved. The buzzer is on the circuit board behind the heat adjustment knob, not on the base plate. Answer:	So it really depends on your configuration of your condo. Listen 24,000 btus is allot of cooling power. You could always use a cheap $10 wallmart floor fan to push cool air to the back bedrooms....i did just that on another installation of this same unit in a separate house. The recirc system was just for a professional looking install but you can do the same thing with a cheap $10 wallmart fan. I really like these units as they are so efficient and quiet. The air recirc system i designed has nothing to do with this unit as its not wired into it or connected to it at all. All my recirc unit does is a fan register sucking cold air near where the inside blower is installed and it blows the cooled air thorugh the instulated duct crawl space in the roof and blows it back between the bedrooms as the cool air would have to travel from one wall the full length of the living room then hang a right turn in a hllway then another sharp right turn into another hallway then into the most distant bedroom......so thats allot to ask of one ca blower blowing cool air essentially in a U turn . But my recirc system solved that problem handily. by first blowing cooled air inbetween the 2 bedrooms then the air slowly moves the warmed air back into the living room to be cooled by this single unit blower and recirculated again. I wasnt too impressed with the heating capacity of this in the winter as a heat pump as with most heat pumps your essentially air conditioning the outside when its snowing out so there isnt much heat out there then your pulling whatever heat from outside back inside to warm you up so the colder it is outside the more this unit has to work to pump heat inside.......but with that said it works great when the temps outside are like in the 50's and 60's and you just want to take the chill off the air in the mornings. If its in the single digits or low teens outside.....your going to need a jacket in your house just saying or another heat source. No heat pump out there will keep you warm under those conditions

Answer:	Typical of many small appliances, when brand new they emit an odor as result of dust, etc burning off the coils... This smell can be plastic-like and is unpleasant but not generally harmful. I always darkly toast a few 'throw away' slices of bread when first getting a new toaster--then toast the ones planned to eat. The toast should have no metallic or plastic taste to it then and the appliance's odor should fade to nothing within a weeks daily use or so. If not, definitely return it to manufacturers!!

Answer:	Agreed. Wasted time and money researching a good toaster that only toasts one side when bagel setting is selected. It toasts both side equally when on TOAST setting and toasts both side equally when on BAGEL setting. Bagel setting reduces darkness of toast by approximately 1/2 setting. Piece of crap if looking to toast bagels as I was. I have no idea why a bagel setting would toast both sides - pointless and deceptive marketing. Anyone know of a toaster that does a good job of toasting only one side of bagels, English muffins, etc.?

Answer:	The lever at one end is the heat for both slots. The lever at the other end is to raise wire arms to place an object for thawing or reheating.

Answer:	I purchased this toaster thinking it was made in the USA. I has Made in China stamped on the bottom.
Question:	I just bought a similarly priced toaster from walmart in a pinch and it has smoked every time i used it since i got it. does this do that
Answer:	I would say it did not smoke, but one has to follow the directions on first using it. It's to be run several times without anything in it to rid it of things that are there in the manufacturing process. There was an odor, but in following directions, there was no longer a problem.
