Answer:	Yes, it is compatible with Canon T4i, please use this lens in M mode, manually tune lens focusing & aperture ring and adjust camera shutter speed/ISO to take clear sharp pictures.

Answer:	Yes it will. I worked with a Cannon Rebel T3i, and it functioned fine. Note however, the auto focus and digital aperture adjustment functions on the camera will not effect the lens, as this is a completely manual lens. Hope this helps!

Answer:	A little bit overkill. Unless you are very far away. Have shot a couple of races, this would be a little unwieldy(or very uncomfortable)to use without a set tripod, and will probably zoom too far in. Buy this when you have some extra cash and time to screw around with it. Try 18-200mm lens. A lot easier to use and carry. Found mine on another Bay system for about $150 new.

Answer:	It works with e-mounts (I have a Sony a7). However, because it's a mirror lenses, the pictures aren't the sharpest

Answer:	Your nex-5r doesn't recognize the lens because the lens is entirely manual (ie there are no electronic components). My Sony a7 also doesn't recognize the lens, but still allows me to capture photos. If it's preventing you form capturing photos, you may need to switch your camera into manual mode and enable manual focusing. Hope this helps.
