Answer:	The jaws of the clamp should work no problem. I just tried it out on a big lamp, diameter, and it cinched down nice and tight. For street riding, no vibration problem. Off-road, my paranoid self would put a wrap of seizing wire on the T-handle just to make sure it doesn't loosen up. But that's just me. The jaws are hard rubber lined, so there's no issue with dinging chrome or powder-coating. But no guarantee. Safe riding. Pick-up the variety pack of screw adapters, 1/4" & 3/8" with adapters. Answer:	Depends on the diameter of the rod but I don't think so. The teeth of the jaw clamp tightly but the gullets only closed down to 1/2inch.
