Question:	Okay, if I charge a second battery, do I have to keep it on the charger or can I leave it in the box unplugged after charging till needed
Answer:	I read the Ring Team's January 2020 answer that the battery can sit in the box for a few months unplugged after charging it. I did exactly that, and when I took the battery out of the box, it had discharged. It took more than 24 hours to recharge it. This has happened with both of the batteries (the one that came with Ring 3 Plus, and the one that I bought as a reserve). I bought the second (reserve) battery to put into the Ring to minimize "downtime" on the Ring device on my door. The Ring Team reply seems erroneous.

Answer:	After talking with a Ring rep. The battery will fit for the ring 3, 3 plus ring stick. Will fit all models of the ring which are battery operated.

Answer:	I have been running mine for 24 days now on a single charge. Initially I had it set to allow "live view" and it was really dropping the charge fast. In 3 days it went from 100% to about 80%. Now, after turning that feature off, it has gone from 80% down to 27% in 21 days. I think one reason for the rapid drain may be that our outside cat has figured out that if she sits on the garbage can, we will eventually open the door and let her in. I want to wait before recharging to see how long it will go before it starts begging for attention. Regardless of how long it lasts before requiring a recharge, I am going to purchase a backup battery so I can switch them out instead of having to worry about down time. In my opinion, Ring should package it both as it is currently sold and optionally with a second battery for those who do not have/want wiring. Yes I understand that there would be a price difference in the packaging but that is to be expected.

Answer:	The problem with doing that depends on the charger. It's usually not a great idea to leave it on the charger because as the battery sits it will naturally lose 1% and then more as it sits longer. The problem is when it kicks back on. If it is a percent or 2 it will keep kicking on and off keeping the battery in a hot and expanded state. This is what shortens battery life as in how many years it lasts. If you do this all the time you can lose half the lifetime of a battery. You won't see the effect until it gets a year old and you finding that your capacity has decreased way more than normal. Once in while isn't a big deal but doing it all the time will definitely shorten your batteries life expectancy. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes. They will activate the sensor for lighting but you will not get the message or alerts for the motion detection devices unless you have a bridge. These are devices that are explained on the product instructions.

Answer:	In my experience it depends on how you use them. If left on continuously, after about 5-8 hours they are noticeably dimmer. They will continue to light up as the batteries drain, but the light will constantly get dimmer until they are effectively worthless.

Answer:	It is very easy to change the batteries because all you do is twist and pull. The batteries are in the top part of the light - the part that will come off when ypu pull. Real easy.

Answer:	Yes. The product names are VERY CONFUSING so pay careful attention. This is the second gen of the RING DOORBELL, the standard, "entry-level" version of the product. It has a built-in battery, which means, in order to recharge the doorbell, you have to take the entire doorbell off. The RING 2 is the upgraded product, which has a "quick switch" battery. I have 2 batts, keep one charged so I can swap them as needed. RING 3 is the upgraded, new version of RING 2. Essentially the same with a couple new features. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Only the base of the detector can be submerged. The top of the unit is not water resistant. 5 ft is too deep. I've used my unit in up to 2 feet. There are full water resistant units outhere.
