If the bulb is “on” via the app, turning the switch will make it turn off, but you will not be able to control the bulb via the app.

Answer:	The likely cause: The light is not connected to the LIFX cloud. The most common fix is to switch off at the light switch, wait 5 seconds, switch back on, wait 20 seconds. Answer:	I've had this problem off and on for years. So far the only thing that seems to help is to separate my smart home devices on to a separate wifi network. My cable modem wifi network is for my devices and a separate router for my computers / TVs / Phones. Make sure you're linked to the cloud service in the Linkwise app and lastly cycle the light switch once and wait 30 seconds.
Question:	Looks like this does not support homekit’s adaptive lighting yet. apple says it needs a firmware update. any idea when this will be available
Answer:	That is a good question, I do not let my light stay on for long periods of time. My daughter uses hers daily for hours and it is not hot to the touch. After being on for hours, I can hold the bulb easily!

Answer:	They are dimmable, but they run at 12 volts. If your transformer is a 12 volt unit designed for MR16 lights, then it will work.

Answer:	Yes,I bought the copper color and switch out all the 20-watt halogen with these brighter, energy efficient lights. I have also used them in paradise well lights. Nicely light up trees and great to wash your house walls with light. You will find all your lights will have the same brightness from first to the last. I used 12 gauge low voltage wire and because these lights are only 5 watts each was able to use a smaller transformer.

Answer:	You cannot see that the light is coming from individual LEDs. There is very little difference in the light cast from these bulbs and a regular halogen. I have 15 of them in my kitchen and they are excellent. The only difference is that all of the light comes from the front of the bulb and there is no ambient light coming from the rear/base area like there is on a halogen bulb. This can make the ceiling seem dark if you are used to that ambient light illuminating the ceiling/walls. I remedied this by buying a couple extra track sockets and directing those bulbs up towards the ceiling.

Answer:	Yes, but it must be configured to do so. If you see only "heat/cool/off" in the mode screen, then press "fan" and "up" simultaneously. When the screen changes, press "next" until you reach option 12. Setting "0" enables "heat/cool/off" in the mode screen, while setting"1" enables "heat/cool/auto/off." Setting "3" is "auto/off" only. When you press "done," your mode screen will show the option you selected. FYI: In "auto" mode, the "heat" temperature at any time must always be at least 3 degrees less than the "cool" temperature.

Question:	I want to use this for my airbnb. Can I change the passcode for different guests and then cancel the code once they leave? Would this be a big hassle
Answer:	Yes, you can "manage" the passcodes (multiple) without a hassle. However, to do so remotely requires that you also have Apple TV in order to link your smart phone. Without Apple TV, you would have to be physically near the lock (8-12 ft). And don't forget that you have to download and link/sync the Kwikset app with Home Set on your iPhone. Setup for us required assistance from the very capable Kwickset customer support.
Question:	Can I used it without apple tv
Answer:	Yes. We are currently using this lock to work with our iPhones. We have not attempted to use with Apple TV.

Answer:	There is no need to pair a Premis lock with your compatible Apple TV. As long as the lock is withinrange of the Apple TV which is logged into the same iCloud account as the enrolled Apple device,the lock can be remotely operated.

Answer:	Yes, works great with 3rd Gen ATV. 3rd Generation and up is the minimum requirement for remote access via HomeKit.

Answer:	Yes, it will take a little time as your on time is so short, it can be done in several ways. I would turn on at say 0000 as a routine, another routine to turn off after 5 minutes, every day of the week, then start setting the turn on times every 30 minute of the day every day of the week. So it will come on on the half hour and hour of the day, staying on for 5 minutes, then will be off until the next half or full hour. It will be a lot of routines!
