Answer:	Hello. I think if it is not too thick. The part that holds the key also has the dial on it. The key is held with a clip. I usually don't unclip the key. I just keep it attached and unlock the door and then replace the whole thing into the box. There really isn't much room between the insert and the back of the box.

Answer:	I have a 27" monitor. This light covers about 2/3 of the top of the monitor. I have the light placed at the center of the screen, and it lights the entire monitor. I use a pull-out keyboard shelf for my keyboard, and it does a good job of lighting the keyboard as well as my desktop. Once mounted, the light can be adjusted up and down to cover as much space on your desktop that you need without shining in your eyes. I would purchase this light again in a heartbeat.
