Answer:	Depends on how wide the angle of the lense. Assuming one of the GoPro mounts works on your helmet you can get the camera centered on the front of the helmet but you would need a decent wide angle feature on the camera.

If you keep it rinsed and dried after each use you will slow down its decomposition. In that environment the service life will be shortened, the only avoidance would be no exposure. The other risk is in not cleaning it, as the water evaporates it will leave the mineral content that will gall threads and scratch the ball and socket joint. Considering you are renting or paying for SCUBA equipment, it can be a throw away. It should last a full season even if you neglect it.

Answer:	You would have to drill a small hole on each side to keep it secure, I did mine that way because of the trucks vibration, cold and heat, would slowly peel the adhesive and drop off
