Answer:	Yes, the one I got certainly did. It also worked fine on Linux.However, I did not try the CD at all. I just plugged it in and let Windows 10 install drivers and I used OBS Studio (open source freeware) to capture the video.

Answer:	I'm using this with Wirecast and the only issues I have are audio. The video seems as good as with my Magewell device. The audio is inconsistent, though. I have to reconnect the device several times before the audio comes through to Wirecast. I also had to change the audio properties in Windows Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage audio devices. Select the device, click Properties and on the Advanced tab, change the default format to the highest available bit and Hz setting. The audio quality was very poor before I did this. Once things are working it's as consistent and reliable as the Magewell.

Just make sure that the drive is hooked up when you run the software and select that drive as a destination. Depending on the speed of the connection (USB/FireWire/Thunderbolt), it may take from a little to a lot longer than to do it to your local HD. If that turns out to be very slow, and you want to do a lot of converting at one time, another option is just to save one video to your Mac's drive, and then move it to the external HD while you're converting the next movie.

I have trouble shot every aspect and video is distorted and jumpy, probably due to data transfer feeds from a USB 2.0 device coming into Thunderbolt ports.

Question:	The software requires a product key not included in the package- advise
Answer:	As I remember, it was printed on back of the CD package. This is a mini CD so maybe you did not see it. Also, I see there was another answer saying the output quality was low. I do not find that to be the case. I play my converted 8mm videos on a 55" screen and I think they look as good as the original tapes.
Question:	Can I use this to transfer my vhs home movies to a dvd just using my vcr player and laptop
Answer:	Yes this is why I bought this item. I had a VHS tape that someone wanted put on a DVD. This plugs into USB, you connect the VCR and record the video to your computer. All the software you need comes with the device.

Answer:	No. The USB on this device is designed to draw power from a PC/allow for simple connectivity. The RCA are INPUT ONLY. This is designed to capture audio/video from devices such as VCRs, and older video game consoles.

Answer:	I have it connected through a USB 2.0 hub and have connected it directly to my laptop works great both ways.
Question:	Can I transfer the video from my vhs to my pc with this
Answer:	Sure -- you play your old video tapes on a VHS player (with either red/white/yellow or S-Video output connector) and capture them as digital files (such as MPG format) on any computer with a USB port. For me, it worked like a champ. . .
Question:	Will this work on a mac
Answer:	Under "system requirements" in the book that comes with it, it just says Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10. There is no mention if it works or doesn't work with Mac.
Question:	So, can you take an input for a console from it? To record video
Answer:	I've done this with numerous devices and it works fine (as long as if the connectors fit of coarse). Only problem would be framerate and resolution. I believe framerate is locked in at 30 fps and resolution has 3 options: 720*480 352*480 352*240. This is great if you're playing on an older console like the ps1 or even ps2 (keep in mind that you're working with a 4:3 aspect ratio). Video editing can fix this issue though. Also, did notice video/audio sync issues with the 720*480 resolution option. Fortunately, the sync issue was consistant so video editing allowed me to fix that. FINAL VERDICT: If you are looking for hd 60fps video recording, this is not the device for you. However, if you're looking for the cheapest way to capture decent gameplay footage, this device should do the trick. Hope this was helpful. (Also, if you can tell me the exact console you are wanting to capture with this, I might be able to confirm that it works)

Answer:	In theory, you should be able to display any device that outputs through HDMI to Any pc that allows a USB webcam.
Question:	Can i use this to record old vhs tapes (played on my tv by an old vhs player) to my laptop or computer
Answer:	Yes and no. In theory yes. You can have the VHS player plugged in by yellow, red, white, cables but most TVs will not have an HDMI out. As it is the TV, why would you have a secound screen. What you could do how ever. Get a HDMI converter. Plug the VHS yellow, red, and white cables to the converter. An hdmi out the other end of the converter. Plug the HDMI Into THIS hdmi to USB. You would then be able to record through your laptop. Through the free Camera application. A lot of connectors but it should get the job done.

Answer:	FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!! I used my flat spline to install on all of my patio screen enclosures, including some pet screens, which are slightly thicker than the normal fiberglass screen. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SPLINE OR SPLINE GROOVE SIZE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WAY THESE CLIPS PERFORM. Great price for huge results. A++++
