Answer:	No! Only for testing the signal strength of OTA transmissions for a TV antenna. Separate signal meters are available for cable and satellite signals.

Operation:

1.Connect the antenna cable to the left F Female and the battery pack cable to the right F Female. Remove any external amplifier* that may be connected to the antenna.

2.Adjust the antenna to the best position by watching the meter's reading. Higher up the scale gives a better signal. If the finder's reading becomes full scale, adjust the level control knob to reduce the reading to around 5 (Turning the knob clockwise will decrease the reading), continue to move the antenna until you have the highest possible meter reading.

3.Remove the finder and replace any amplifier that was disconnected.

Answer:	The meter should be connected to the coax cable before any amplifier. Since it is used to position the antenna for the best signal, it should be located relatively close to the antenna during installation and then removed. Note that the meter registers total signal only - there is no way to tell if you are getting a good signal from any particular channel.

1. how to install the satelite finder and detect the signal?

a. Connect a jump cable from LNB to the satellite finder's "Satellite" port. Connect the "Receiver" port, a DC 1318V power which comes from the satellite receiver

b. Make sure that the satellite finder is properly connected. Plug in the AC cord and turn on the satellite receiver

c. Set the dB to be 1 or 2 by ATT button, the signal LED will show from 15 to 30, then you can adjust the dish postition, when you hear the buzzer alert and the value of signal strength getting more and more, it means you get the statellite signal

d. Set the dB to be 3 or 4, adjust the dish again and again until the value of the signal strength is maximum. Then you can see the LOCK light in the satellite receiver, if the lock light is lighting it shows you find the desired satellite. Otherwise you need to adjust the dish again

Answer:	It works with Dish and says it will work with Direct also, it is just a signal strength meter. It has to have the receiver on for power but I did not like that so I took two 9volt batteries and an F type connector and made my own 18volt power supply. Works just fine.

Answer:	Don't know bout an upgrad but my experience with the signal meter is save your money. My burned out just using it once. When I tried to use again it was over the 1 month warranty.

Answer:	If you are using this for dish pointing you need a compass to get the direction. You should be able to get this info from your unit by entering the closest zip code in to your sat box. If you are using your sat. on a camper you can get a zip code directory at any office store. Now that you have your zip code enter it in the setup in your sat box setup program. Point the dish using your compass this will get you in the rite direction.You must us a one foot peace of the same type cable between the dish and signal meter. Then connect the cable to the other side going to the sat box. The power comes from the dish signal. So you have the dish, a 1 or 2 foot jumper cable (short piece cable) between the dish and line in on the signal box, the signal box, then connect the cable from the dish box tuner box that is used to change channels to the out side of the signal meter. Now all you have to do is rase the dish until you get a signal. If the signal is to strong back the signal down on the meter for fine tuning it. You don't want the signal to strong. Make it as week as you can well still getting a signal. This will help you pin point the sat. Now once you have it tuned in. lock the dish in place. Remove the short cable and signal box and connect the cable from the sat box and you are done. I hope this helps.

Answer:	It will work in Canada, however it has a maximum range of 70 miles, or approximately 112km.
Question:	Would mounting this in an attic with an insulated roof greatly impair the signal it receives
Answer:	I have my mounted in this location. I have a ranch home. It gets much better reception in the attic than on the main level. The only problem (if that's what you want to call it) is that you cant adjust the direction easily. you will need to pick the best direction and leave it, or climb back into the attic and point in a different direction. I'm sure above the attic (outside) would work best but my wife won't let this happen as she doesn't want to look at it.
Question:	I live in a small house and am thinkin on going with the WE7550A . 40 miles closest tower, rolling hills, etc. 3 tvs 20' apart. additional amp needed
Answer:	It will depend on the length and quality of the wire from the Antenna and each TV. My best recommendation is to order the amp with the antenna however I would install the antenna and try the system without the amp installed. If you have a digital signal to each TV it should be fine. If you have a signal that is ok and you install an amp you will likely overdrive the tuner in your TV's and that is just as bad as not having a signal. Hope that helps
Question:	Is the elite 7550 antenna atsc 3.0 capable and ready for the new fcc transition for the final phase of july
Answer:	That depends on where you live. I found the 7550 to be a capable UHF antenna in my location for up to 40 miles from the transmitters. However, it is not very good for VHF at those distances. If your channels are going to get repacked down into the low VHF band (Channels 2-6), it is useless. For channels 7-14 I found it marginal. It worked quite well for UHF.

Answer:	If you have a smart phone, download the tv antenna signal app. That worked great for me. The meter didn't help me.

Answer:	These flat antennas are basically UHF antennas. You might get a strong VHF-Hi station on it but I doubt you're going to pull in any VHF-Lo channels.

Answer:	I don't own this model, however based on the pictures i've seen it looks like the coax cable is hardwired to the antenna. If you know how to solder you might be able to open up the antenna and unsolder the the 10 foot cable and solder in the 2 or 3 foot cable. However that will surely void your warranty.

Answer:	This product does not work with Dish Network unless you also get a 5 db attenuator. There is no tech support for this product, I would not recommend this product.
Question:	Does it work with Direct TV? And is it a one person meter at the dish
Answer:	We have Dish Network, but I have little doubt that it would work with any receiver/provider. We use it in our motorhome, which has an aiming mechanism inside. I hook up the meter between the dish and the receiver (which also supplies power to the meter) inside the cabinet. I imagine you could do the same thing outside, at the dish. Just unplug the cable from the LNB, hook that cable up to the "receiver" terminal of the meter, and then hook up a temporary cable between the "dish" terminal of the meter and the LNB. It works great, and it's quite sensitive (adjustable).

How to install the satelite finder and detect the signal？

1、Connect a jump cable from LNB to the satellite finder's “Satellite” port. Connect the “Receiver” port, a DC 13-18V power which comes from the satellite receiver.

2、Make sure that the satellite finder is properly connected. Plug in the AC cord and turn on the satellite receiver.

3、Set the dB to be 1 or 2 by ATT button, the signal LED will show from 15 to 30, then you can adjust the dish postition, when you hear the buzzer alert and the value of signal strength getting more and more, it means you get the statellite signal.

4、Set the dB to be 3 or 4, adjust the dish again and again until the value of the signal strength is maximum. Then you can see the LOCK light in the satellite receiver, if the lock light is lighting it shows you find the desired satellite. Otherwise you need to adjust the dish again.

Delete as many satellites from the arc as you want to enter; then enter the names and longitudes of the satellites you want. Since dish network uses a scrambled signal you will not see a picture on the display, but you will capture signal strength, and be able to lock it in.

Answer:	To get digital channels (which are about all you can get nowadays), you will need a digital converter box with your old tv. You plug this into the digital converter box, and the converter box into your tv. If by some chance a station is broadcasting in analog near your house, you could get those stations in without a converter box. Currently, there are no analog stations where I live as it is costly for a station to broadcast both analog and digital.
