Answer:	I bought the 3rd generation 12.9 inch iPad Pro (the one without the home button), and it does work with the 2nd generation pencil (the new pencil) both were purchased on Amazon at a discount to even the apple site.

Answer:	As a college student trying to go paperless, I didn’t not want to spend $130 on a stylus. I found a very great stylus on Amazon with palm rejection, that’s also magnetic and pressure sensitive. Aside from being able to charge while attached to the iPad, there honestly is no difference. Although it can be a somewhat inconvenient to charge quite frequently, I highly recommend going the other route and saving money. Unless you are a digital artist, you do not need to buy this super expensive stylus. The stylus I bought is by the brand ANKACE, totally worth the $30!
