If you are running high wattage over a long (>50ft) run length, the cheaper grade CCA will likely become hotter and not handle it well. Answer:	There is NO fire risk when using this wire for low voltage applications i.e., speaker connections. Most jurisdictions don't care about CL2/CL3 unless you are running 110VAC. This is speaker wire. Don't sweat it!

Answer:	The answers here are variably correct and incorrect!! The resistance of the speakers (ohms) needs to match the impedance the amplifier circuit is rated to handle. Too small a wire (length is a variable) will induce a resistance that the amplifier will face, like a speaker, and this will alter the "balance" of the intended match!!!! Pushing speakers rated at 500 watts under a constant load of 250 watts will induce heat "resistance" if the line between the amp and the speaker is very small and sound quality will be compromised!!!! Up to 100 feet of lead at a constant load of 500 watts would ideally be handled using 10 gauge copper, braided wire facing from 4 ohms to 16 ohms. Bottom line: Discriminating "audiophiles" popularly tout the use of 12 gauge braided lead for almost all in-home installations ... this allows for component upgrades in the future! As said here, 16 gauge braided lead, in most installations, will produce results that are completely acceptable in matching power and impedance and results!!!

Question:	im trying to make my own test leads for different applications, will these work/fit with a voltmeter
Answer:	Depends. It should fit as the multimeters use standard banana plug socket innerds, but for years commercial test leads have no longer used bare plugs because of the hazards associated with accidental contact which would be shockingly dangerous if working with high voltage (yes, these meters are routinely used in high voltage electrical applications - my meter carries a CAT III rating for use with 1000V, CAT IV for 600 V). BUT, I mainly use my meter on ham radio stuff and sometimes on cars - all low voltage DC applications.I just ordered these to make a current (amperage) test rig with Anderson Power Pole sockets. Again, I stress that I am working with voltage running significantly less than 30V (sometimes 24 V systems in aviation or other automotive systems), but I will wrap the plug bodies in heat shrink insulation to minimize likelihood of contact.

Answer:	Who said that this detecter MDSCN111 will detect Propane? Propane is heavier than air and hence you need an appropriate detecter near the source that are mostly 1-3 ft from ground. This detector detects Natural gas or Methane that is supplied to homes. Natural gas weighs similar to air and initially tends to rise up. I am no expert but am technical enough to understand properties of these deadly gases. You should ask USI Electric for further clarification.FYI !!! I have my whole house on these (6 of them) 3 of them have gone bad so far. The last one I returned for replacement they asked for a check for $11 I think it was which is about the mfg. cost of these things. 7 years warranty that these guys claim is a Scam ... Besides I had 3 out of 6 gone bad in first year. The other two they replaced were free of cost replacement. I had to pay for shipping. Question:	Do these fit most recievers, or are they too large, like some say in reviews? I dont know what to trust
Answer:	I have a High-End Denon and these plugs work just fine. They have a nice heft to them. You'll see. I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved them. A special note: I dont know what gauge wire you are planning on using. I bought 8 awg wire and it barely fits in these plugs. 12 awg or smaller will give you ZERO problems. Don't sweat the petty reviews. I assure you these bad boys are WELL WORTH THE MONEY!
Question:	Will these work well with klipsch speakers and denon av receiver
Answer:	They should work very good with Klipsch speakers but may be to big in diameter for the Denon Receiver. They were to big to fit into my 1980's Kenwood 9400 Receiver speaker outputs. Randy

Answer:	Kay,As I draft this response I am holding one of these darlings. The flyer that comes in the box doesn't state the make up of the base material, however I can say it is very heavy for it's size and if I had to guess I'd say it is brass. Question:	Do these work with speakers that have the "push in" type of connectors and not the binding plug like the back of a receiver
Answer:	Depends on which type of "push-in" connector you mean... there's the (square) "spring terminal" connector that is most common in speakers and has a small hole for inserting the cable, and there's also the newer (circular) "push-in binding post" that will accept either the banana plug or the bare cable.

Question:	Will this work with 12ga wire
Answer:	This should not have happened. You need to contact the company of the cover because I am sure it is under warranty. This also happen to me and the cover company requested that I send them a 4 ft x 4ft section of the damaged liner. (I'm better sure them paid the postage) We received a new liner after a few weeks. My advise on liners is buy a med grade $90 to $130 dollar one. We throw ours out each year because they never last for the next year.
Question:	What is the diameter of the bottom opening. Is it wide enough to handle two 12 gauge wires for bi-wire
Answer:	we did not have to touch it, but I think you would be able to. and this is our 3 year using it no problem, we think however that we might have to purchase another one next year.

Answer:	Not as thick as I thought it would be but it worked in our pool.
Question:	Are these connectors insulated? Meaning if a metal object touches two of them will it blow out the speaker
Answer:	No you cut it to fit the pool. It will float on the top of the water. But it has to be remove from the pool before anybody get into the water for safety reasons . It works great you will love it.
