Answer:	Hi June! There really is no such thing as tear-free shampoo. Unfortunately that doesn't stop most companies from using it as a marketing term to get sales. The truth is that even ones that claim to be tear free, have just added MORE chemicals to neutralize the stinging effect of the other chemicals that are already in it. So, a "tear free" shampoo really just means there are even more harmful chemicals in it - nobody wants that for their pup! Even worse, the chemical that other companies normally use to make their shampoo "tear free" has been linked to cataracts in dogs, which can lead to blindness! Even worse for puppies since the "tear free" chemical can destroy the protein necessary for visual development. Sorry this is a long answer, but it's important information and it is an excellent question. We do not recommend using 4-Legger in such a way that it comes in contact with your dogs eyes...just as you wouldn't use a soap product around your own eyes. There is no chemical in our product that would hurt your dogs eyes, but it might not be be very comfortable, so just use care and common sense during bath time. Thank you for the question!

Answer:	I use it a part of my regiment for hair loss. I've been using it for 3 years. The active ingredient Ketoconazole (1%) works to suppress the androgen receptor which is part of the process of testosterone conversion to DHT and its destructive action on hair follicles. DHT binds to the receptors of hair follicles 5 times more than testosterone. It is thought that an abundance of DHT attached to hair follicle receptors can trigger the follicles to miniaturize, leading to hair loss. Initially developed as a dandruff, psoriasis and Seborroheic Dermatitis treatment, it has been an effective solution to stopping DHT. It isn’t a miracle cure for hair loss. Answer:	I do not have any experience with anything other than my natural hair. I would not want to steer you wrong but I believe that the shampoo does not contain sulfates, I have not found it to be particularly harsh.

Answer:	Tricky question. Simply put yes. My dermatologist who is Indian, follows an African American dermatologist for specific product recommendations on dandruff including medical names. This is one of those products. I use this and the Jason 2 in 1 conditioner. It's best to wash then place shampoo on the scalp for 10-20 minutes. I also stay away from hair care products being put directly on my scalp as recommended by dermatologist. Additionally, Giovanni anti-dandruff is recommended by her as well. It helps. It all depends on the source of your dandruff. Mine is due to hormonal issues brought on by thyroiditis. There are prescription products I'd advise...Fluocinonide Acetonide oil. You put it on the night prior to washing hair. It will really lift up the flaky scalp and without extra hard work. It's a corticosteroid. I would avoid tea tree oil bc it can be aggravating to the scalp. Use no products with parabens or SLS. Prescription Loprox shampoo us helpful. Keep the scalp moisturizerized without grease. Zinc pyrithione cream is great as it slows down growth of dandruff.

Answer:	I was wondering the same thing. I found this product originally by searching for non-toxic hair products in the Environmental Working Group database (by the way, it's not flawless, but I HIGHLY recommend EWG). This is one of the few in the 'EWG certified' list and the ingredients look fine, but I just found three possible reasons for the warning: a.) the plastic bottle it comes in (Bisphenol A aka BPA & Phlatates are in a lot of plastics and on the Proposition 65 list, but no idea if they're in this) b.) the first ingredient, water (which seems to comes from Lake Success in NY - EWG's water database those ZIP codes don't seem to have a Lead issue, but instead a lot of possible carcinogens in high levels) c.) the product may not be fully organic (in 2016, CBS reported in Why "organic" shampoo can be loaded with chemicals, "Hains Celestial in February separately settled for $7.5 million a class action by a California resident and the nonprofit Center for Environmental Health, or CEH, which sued over the organic labeling of its Avalon Organics and Jason personal care product brands."). You could still do a heck of a lot worse with the other hair care options, though. Personally, unless I find an alternative, I'll probably stick with this.

Answer:	Yes I believe it does. It bad smell and not super strong either. But I believe it does smell a little, and goes away fast. I can’t confirm as I am gone for two weeks and left it home. Can say my son did not like it for his long hair. He likes the tea tree brand waaaaaay better!
