User questions & answers

Question: am I correct that skullcandy is not included, only adaptable
Answer: Use a measuring tape or string, wrap it around the forehead (above the eyebrows), above the ear, and all the way around the back of the head. Make sure you are not wrapping it very tight, the tape/string should be just touching the head. If the measurement is the border line of two sizes, go for the bigger one. Hope this helps.
Question: How do I make a measurement to see which size of the helmet to choose
Answer: Dear, I just tried the 55cm since I have the same measuring and he fist right, now on the sticker on the box it shows the small is 51-55cm and the medium 55-59cm, the 55 fits me well, now you have always the opportunity to change if it is not working for you. Thank you. Pascal.
Question: my head is exactly 55cm. Should I go for a Small or a Medium
Answer: I don't think it would be too bad, the helmet has some padding in the inner shell that is removable that would help if removed but not compromise the integrity of the helmet.
Question: here's a dumb question...would this helmet be too hot to wear mountain biking
Answer: I don't know if it's a replica, but there are a lot of people in China skiing and snowboarding. And I think this is the best helmet I ever had, and I have been snowboarding for 25+ years. second Maze.
Question: I’m scared to see all the Chinese writing, is this product legit or a replica
Answer: I checked the Maze listed on Amazon and it does not identify MIPS in the title. Although the MIPS version of the MAZE cost bout $30 more retail, looking at the discounted online price on some colors cannot guarantee which version you are getting. When I purchased the Maze helmet online, the MIPS version was not an option and I just looked for the best sale and desired color. On a side note, regarding MIPS and helmets, beside snowboarding, I have been riding a sport bike motorcycle for 27 years, always riding with a top of the line full face helmet and after reviewing the available information about MIPS, I personally am not convinced at this point MIPS needs to be a factor in choosing which motorcycle helmet I use, much less a snowboarding helmet. The concept of MIPS makes sense but there are trade offs that need to be made in constructing a MIPS version of a helmet. Seems more important that the helmet fits well, not too tight or too loose, no pressure points and is comfortable so that it will be worn at all times, MIPS or no MIPS.
Question: How do i know if a particular color and size are mips or not
Answer: I do not know the weight. I have no scales and I do not know the weight. But I do not think it is heavy at all when I wear it on my head or in my hand.
Question: How’s the weight of it? In grams, if it’s 1.64pounds,is 744g
Answer: Hi there, Hunter!Smith Helmets do work with Outdoor Tech headphones, so listen away! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.Best,Content SpecialistBAM Partners
Question: Will it work with outdoor tech headphones
Answer: Yes, these are for kids. I don't believe there is any difference between the medium and youth medium - that kind of listing variance happens all the time on Amazon.

User questions & answers

Question: Can you use voice commands to text with these
Answer: No
Question: Is this work as a walkie talkie
Answer: These "headphones" use a USB-to-3.5mm jack charging solution. This cable can be plugged into any typical USB charger. They also have a microUSB-to-3.5mm adaptor for normal microUSB cables. They do come with a soft draw-string bag to keep things together. Being somewhat proprietary, if it were to go missing, there may be a replacement on Smith's web site, though their support channel, or perhaps on Amazon.
Question: If I lose the charging cable what kind of charger do I need to get
Answer: I get about 2 days of skiing out of a full charge.
Question: What is the battery life for these
Answer: Right, it's not included .

User questions & answers

Question: Are these only compatible with Smith helmets
Answer: I have only used them with Smith Helmets because they have a zippered pouch in the helmet liner that allows for the ear pucks to be located and the wire between the two. I would imagine they would work with any helmet that has a built in space into the helmet padded liner.
Question: Does it have a mic
Answer: It must have some sort of internal mic because when we have used it to make phone calls you don't need the phone mic. In general, I found it works great for music, and phone calls (haven't had trouble understanding each other when both of us are using Aleck, or when I am using my Aleck wireless and the other party is just using their cell phone). Siri works pretty well, although sometimes takes a couple tries. The only thing we haven't gotten to work well is the comms function - we got it to work once at home but haven't managed to figure it out how to get it to work on the mountain.

Smith Optics Camber - MIPS Adult Ski Snowmobile Helmet - Matte Black / Large

Smith Optics

Product description

Never before has technology this advanced been brought to the masses. The Smith Camber snow helmet utilizes ultra-light in-mold construction to minimize mass and maximize ventilation without sacri?icing one ounce of protection or style. PROTECTION + Ultra-light in-mold construction + Low-pro?ile regulator adjustable climate control + 20 vents FIT + Adjustable Smith x Boa ?it system + X-static performance lining + Snapit SL2 ear pads INTEGRATION + AirEvac 2 ventilation + Skullcandy audio systems available MIPS technology: Multi-directional impact protection system MIPS is used to reduce the rotational forces to the brain in the case of an oblique impact. Smith helmets are created to absorb direct impacts very efficiently and when combined with MIPS, Smith helmets absorb oblique forces better by allowing a small rotation of the outer shell relative to the liner. MIPS in action When you fall to the ground at an angle rotational forces are generated. A helmet integrating MIPS technology creates a sliding layer between the outer shell and the head. This allows the helmet's outer shell to slide relative to the head when hitting the ground, so the rotational force is decreased, reducing the potential to damage your brain.
