Answer:	Bought 11.5 elsewhere. 1/2 sizes when available are almost true to size. Not that insulated but it will be tight if you wear regular (thick) wool socks. If you wear orthotics as well, it will be tight. Otherwise, you can wear regular socks for a better fit but wear a thinner wool socks for warmth even though Sorel says boot is insulated. Otherwise, if you plan on wearing thicker wool socks, order 1/2 size Up!

Answer:	The claim is that they will keep your feet warm to -40 degrees. I live in Southwest Michigan and the coldest its been this winter is -15 with the wind chill. I was outside for more than an hour and they kept my feet warm. I also like them because they slip on and off easily. Make sure that if you have a 1/2 size... to round up to the next size when ordering.

Answer:	My size 11 Arctic Ice Mid Work boots are 32.4 oz each. I highly recommend the Muck brand for wet, muddy conditions. I own a pair of Muck Chore series. I picked up the Arctic Ice boots for frigid weather. Perhaps others have had better experience but I was disappointed with respect to temperature range. Temps were in the mid 20's I was wearing moisture wicking winter socks (not cotton). Within an hour my feet were uncomfortably cold. I picked up a pair of Sorel Caribou boots. (same temp specs as Arctic Ice). Temps were in the single digits. Wearing the same base layer as before, I was working outside for a couple of hours and my feet were nice and toasty warm. More expensive but more comfortable.

Answer:	They're not horrible but boots like these are never the most comfortable to drive with since they're stiff. But they are comfy and warm. Compared to sorels, these are great.

Question:	are these waterpoof and light weight
Answer:	I have not really soaked these up yet but they are very light and warm!
Question:	Do these run true to size? I've seen other Salomon winter hikers that say get a 1/2 size up
Answer:	They are true to size. I did end up getting a 1/2 size up, but that's only so that I could wear my thermal socks with them. If I wear regular socks, I can definitely feel the 1/2 size up difference and are too loose for hiking for me.

Answer:	The boot comes with a Salomon sticker it’s says ..Comfort 6 Celsius or 21F ...Limit -12C/10F ...Extreme -25c/-13F....personally I’ve been out all evening on an Astro shoot in 7C and my feet have been toasty comfortable warm....love these boots...could hike all day in them.

Answer:	Excellent! All Salomon hikers have very good arch support, I have this boot, plus two different style summer hikers. The arch and fit are identical between the 3 different styles. The only brand of hiking boots I will buy.

Question:	Why are rhe boots in quarry and black different from the others? All the others have the pull on the back these have 2 pulls one on each sid
Answer:	Honestly I find them hard to put on. They are a tight fit. Wish I didn’t buy them. The others ones look like they’d be much easier and more comfortable.
Question:	Can I get red laces
Answer:	No, these only come with black laces.
Question:	Do these stretch out
Answer:	No. Other than the upper leather part maybe but the rest of the boot is rubber so you will probably not see any stretching out.
